[This alternative reality of Russian boogeymen had got to stop.]
They’re not bogeymen. They have thousands of nukes aimed at our cities, and run nuclear attack drills right up to Alaska’s airspace every few weeks. The problem is Trump’s shtick of saying nice things about the leaders of unfriendly countries even as he’s sticking it to them. Why give liberals an opening? The tradition is for the GOP and the Democrats to have a tough public stance against the leaders of the nation’s rivals/adversaries, with the GOP backing tough measures while the Dems back cave-ins at every opportunity. Trump has inverted this by saying nice things about the other guy’s leaders while taking measures against them. In effect, he is tough while not taking credit for being tough. This is confusing low-info voters who are hawkish.
I understand what you’re saying but respectfully, that has nothing to do with the laptop story.
Just because a country has their missiles aimed at us does not mean that a political party can use that as an excuse every time one of their scandals is exposed.
In this case the Russians are in fact Boogeymen.
