Less than two weeks ago, Democrat Cal Cunningham was the front-runner in the Senate race in North Carolina. A former state senator, a current lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserves, and an elder in the Presbyterian Church, the Democrat had been running a belligerently bland campaign against first-term Republican incumbent Thom Tillis. Cunningham filled the airwaves with gauzy television ads and consistently led in polls.
Then his sexts were leaked to a right-wing website.

So was Clinton, so maybe it was Clinton that killed sex scandals, and Bimbo eruptions. 8>P

This is the Bible Belt. Cunningham has two strikes. 1) Adultery 2) lying. He has consistently portrayed himself as an honorable man a warrior (sarc) and a loyal soldier. Well he lied, committed adultery with a wounded warrior NCOs wife and lied about it again. He is being investigated by the Army. Not everyone who goes to war is a combat vet or hero. Some of us support the warfighters, nature of the beast. Cunningham is not only disingenuous by not explain that as a legal officer he was not in much danger inside his air conditioned office. Even as support personnel there was a potential for a terrorist or lone wolf attack. But Cunninghams commercials make it sound like he was a war hero. Come to think of it, that is strike three in a military state like North Carolina.

For the youngers on this site, the press did the same thing when Clinton’s scandals were exposed. They even published articles about how powerful men had powerful needs that needed to be fulfilled.

Nah, Trump hasn't killed sex scandals, he's just bulletproof when the Rats try to use them against him.
Whenever sex scandals are otherwise useful to Democrats, they will employ them, even against fellow Rats who step out of the official Rat pecking order in competition for positions of power.
Rats are simply evil liars by nature and Sex scandals are merely a tool.

I know. Democrats have no discernment. To them an elephant and a mouse are exactly the same since they are both grey.

I feel incredibly dirty...
I have said to both Tillis and Burr to their faces that theyve lost my support and I would NEVER pull the lever for them again due to their never-Trump behavior.
Now, with so much at stake, I know I will have to vote for this weasel.
We need to do a better job across the country at primaries...

Slowly, but surely, the GOP is going MAGA. It won’t be much longer where we’ll have to hold our noses for RINOs, we’ll push them out eventually.

If friends point to the Billy Bush audio, I always point out the Trump said he could do that.....not that he did. I have no doubt that many some would have let him do anything he wanted to do. There are boatloads of women who will do anything for money.
Cal Cunninghams whole premise is family, honor, and duty. Turns out hes a Bill Clinton student, not a Boy Scout.

It was like the Eddie Murphy routine, about how when you are successful in Hollywood, women throw their p----s at you like they were Frisbees.

He was a JAG! He got his Bronze Star for organizing the courts in Iraq.....even though he is in fatigues in every picture and talks about going outside the wire.

I admit I was a POG, I am proud of the work I did supporting warfighters. I never understand the asshats who make a big deal about going to Iraq or Afghanistan as support staff. Be proud, but be humble. Cunningham is a douche who pumps up his service as a Staff Officer. Hell, the Army gave every officer who walked of the plane a Bronze Star. My Navy Captain (doctor) got one in Fallujah for exposing himself to enemy fire, attempting to save two injured Marines. He was not suppose to be in the combat zone so they tried to knock it down to a Commendation with a V. He got the Bronze Star despite the Marines, but they refused him or his Corpsman Combat Action Ribbons because they did not return fire. Marines can be really anal retentive.

My favorite Ben Jacobs moment:
After [Ben] Jacobs asked Gianforte his question, Acuna wrote: Gianforte grabbed Jacobs by the neck with both hands and slammed him into the ground behind him".
Faith, Keith and I watched in disbelief as Gianforte then began punching the man, as he moved on top the reporter and began yelling something to the effect of Im sick and tired of this!

Wrong again. Nobody cared about Trump scandals with sex because of how they treated Clinton.
Nice spin though.

But Cunninghams commercials make it sound like he was a war hero. Dude.
He threw his body on top of the serviceman's wife to protect her from Iraq IED shrapnel - just in case some crossed the ocean...
