Hey, Joe Biden, what did you know about Hunter’s crook emails?: Goodwin
nyPOST ^ | 10/17/2020 | MICHAEL GOODWIN

Posted on 10/17/2020 11:23:30 PM PDT by bitt

Now that some secrets of the Biden family business are no longer secrets, it’s easy to imagine Joe Biden asking the same question Robert Redford asked in the 1972 film “The Candidate.” After winning a Senate race he didn’t expect to win, Redford turns to his handler and wonders: “What do we do now?”

That’s the end of the movie, but the story about the Bidens is just beginning. What Joe Biden must do now is start telling the truth. The whole truth.

Up to now, the Democrats’ presidential nominee has gotten away with the fiction that he never talked to his son Hunter about Hunter’s suspect business dealings in Ukraine, China and elsewhere. The repeated claim was never credible, especially when it was revealed that Hunter flew on Air Force Two with his father to Beijing and came home with a $1.5 billion commitment from a Chinese bank for a new investment firm.

So they flew to China and back together and we’re supposed to believe the father never asked the son who he was seeing in China and why.

C’mon, man.

The Joe-knows-nothing defense has now been exposed as a lie by The Post’s publication of the e-mail from a Ukrainian adviser to Burisma, the energy firm that put Hunter on its board for up to $83,000 a month. In the e-mail, Vadym Pozharskyi thanked Hunter for setting up a meeting with then-Vice President Biden.

“Thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together,” the April 17, 2015, message reads.

Hunter and Joe Biden with Kazakhstan oligarch Kenes Rakishev (far left).
Between 2012-14, Hunter worked as a sort of go-between for Rakishev.

Rakishev is married to the daughter of a former mayor of the country's capital city (recently re-named 'Nursultan,' after the elderly despot), who later served as its Defence Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. All in all it was an intriguing nexus.

Fast forward to 2012 and Rakishev had just joined Forbes magazine's top-15 list of Kazakhstan's 'most influential' tycoons, with estimated assets of some $332 million. Like many an oligarch in possession of a huge fortune, Rakishev was now looking for a safe place to park it, so had come to America in search of new places to invest his hard-earned roubles.

Sadly, things hadn't gone entirely smoothly. For in the highly-regulated world of Western capitalism, Rakishev discovered that blue-chip investment partners were often reluctant to take his cash.

To blame? The fact that no one was entirely sure where his wealth actually came from.

For example, the leaked emails obtained by the Mail show that the International Finance Corporation, a highly respectable sister organisation of the World Bank, held preliminary talks with Rakishev about a business collaboration, before deciding to pull out.

I can reveal that the IFC then politely informed the oligarch that it 'cannot invest with him' because its 'very deep due diligence processes' had established that he had some 'connections' involving the 'president's family' that 'are a liability to us.' Seemingly outraged, Rakishev responded that he would ensure that the organisation 'never works in Kazakhstan with anyone.'

The United States Department of Justice then took an interest in Rakishev. It soon dragged him into an investigation of potential breaches the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act related to 'an investment in the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan'.

Though Rakishev immediately denied all wrongdoing, and no charges were ever filed, in September 2013 he decided to hire a notoriously expensive U.S. law firm called Greenberg Traurig to deal with incoming fire related to the probe......two attorneys who led a team working the Kazakh's case, John Pappalardo and Stanford Saunders, charged him in the region of $1,000 and $700 per hour respectively.

Australia’s Sky News just released (1 hr. ago -18 Oct 2020) an exclusive interview with Steve Bannon about the Hunter Biden documents, concentrating on the breadth and depth of Joe Biden’s corruption and dealing making with the PRC-CCP.

Bannon answers questions about the provenance of the hard drive, debunks the “hacked from Hunter’s iCloud and put on the HD”, Hunters lawyers telephone call and email demanding return of HD. As well as why FBI Wray has sat on this for more than a year, when this could have nipped the impeachment farce in the bud...about 22 mins.

....why did FBI Wray sit on this for more than a year, when it could have nipped Pelosi's impeachment farce in the bud......

Did Nanzi know, too.....and is this why she delayed and delayed
withholding the articles before sending them over to the Senate?......

Was Pelosi colluding with Wray to keep it all under wraps so she could pursue her vain quest for power?

According to the Chinese whistle blowers, Nancy was sent a copy with proof of her sons involvement in the bribes with the CCP instruction that Joe Biden MUST win the 2020 presidential election....

So her actions seem to comport wiith that threat.

Likely her husband’s long time involvement in China business also provides a powerful lever

CIRCA 2019--Johnson, Grassley Call for State Department to Release Documents on Hunter Biden and Burisma
Senator Grassley Press Release ^ | Nov 7, 2019 | / FR Posted by Cboldt

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, sent a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Wednesday seeking answers to questions regarding the way a consulting firm hired by Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company, appears to have used Hunter's Biden's role on Burisma's board to possibly influence State Department matters.

Recently obtained State Department emails, made public through a FOIA request, indicate Burisma's consulting firm noted "two high profile U.S. citizens (including Hunter Biden as a board member) affiliated with the company" when requesting a meeting with State Department officials to discuss the validity of the U.S. government's classification that their client, Burisma, was corrupt.

A State Department email from February 2016 said, "Per our conversation, Karen Tramontano of Blue Star Strategies requested a meeting to discuss with [Under Secretary] Novelli [U.S. Government] remarks alleging Burisma (Ukrainian energy company) of corruption. She noted that two high profile U.S. citizens are affiliated with the company (including Hunter Biden as a board member).

Tramontano would like to talk with U/S Novelli about getting a better understanding of how the U.S. came to the determination that the company is corrupt. According to Tramontano, there is no evidence of corruption, has been no hearing or process, and evidence to the contrary has not been considered. Would appreciate any background you may be able to provide on this issue and suggested TPs for U/S Novelli's meeting."

On Wednesday, the senators wrote, "Although it is not clear if Under Secretary Novelli met with Karen Tramontano on March 1, 2016, as planned, later that month Tramontano and other members of Burisma's legal team reportedly met with Ukrainian prosecutors.

According to what appears to be contemporaneous notes by one of those Ukrainian prosecutors, during that meeting, Burisma's legal team apologized about what they alleged to be `false information' promoted by the U.S. Government about the prosecutors' handling of the investigation of Burisma.

"Additionally, other documents obtained and made public through FOIA show other meetings that Burisma board members Hunter Biden and Devon Archer scheduled with high-ranking State Department officials.

In May 2015, Hunter Biden asked to meet then-Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken to `get [his] advice on a couple of things' and again for lunch on July 22, 2015.

On March 2, 2016, just one day after Tramontano was scheduled to meet with Under Secretary Novelli about Burisma, Devon Archer was scheduled to meet with Secretary of State John Kerry."

Full text of the letter is below, and the letter can be viewed here (at FR web site link).

The Honorable Michael R. Pompeo
Secretary of State
2201 C Street, NW
Washington, DC 20520

Dear Secretary Pompeo:

In April 2014, Vice President Biden reportedly became the “public face of the administration’s handling of Ukraine.”^^[1] Around the same time, the Vice President’s son, Hunter Biden, and his business associate, Devon Archer, both began serving on the board of Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company.^^[2] According to the New York Times, Hunter Biden, “would be paid as much as $50,000 per month in some months for his work for the company.”[3]

E-mails obtained and publicly released through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) show that, at the time Hunter Biden and Devon Archer joined Burisma, their other business partner, Christopher Heinz, the stepson to then-Secretary of State John Kerry, e-mailed senior State Department officials about the announcement with concern.^^[4] Specifically, on May 13, 2014, Heinz wrote to Special Assistant Matt Summers and Chief of Staff David Wade:

Apparently Devon and Hunter both joined the board of Burisma and a press release went out today. I cant [sic] speak why they decided to, but there was no investment by our firm in their company.^^[5]

Heinz has also been quoted through his spokesman as saying he “strongly warned Mr. Archer that working with Burisma was unacceptable” and “[t]he lack of judgment in this matter was a major catalyst for Mr. Heinz ending his business relationships with Mr. Archer and Mr. Biden.”^^[6]

According to the Times, “Hunter Biden’s work for Burisma prompted concerns among State Department officials at the time that the connection could complicate Vice President Biden’s diplomacy in Ukraine[.]”^^[7] Based on this report, it is unclear the extent to which State Department officials expressed these concerns formally and what, if any, action the Department took to address them.

In 2016, while Hunter Biden and Devon Archer were both working for Burisma Holdings, Ukraine’s top prosecutor was conducting an investigation into the company and its owner.^^[8] The Times reported that, in 2016, Vice President Biden “threatened to withhold $1 billion in United States loan guarantees if Ukraine’s leaders did not dismiss the country’s [Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin].”^^[9] Ukraine’s parliament voted to dismiss Shokin after Vice President Biden called for his removal.^^[10]

Indeed, Vice President Biden later bragged about how he was responsible for Shokin’s firing:
...we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, you have no authority. You’re not the president. The president said—I said, call him. I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I said, you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a b-tch. He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.^^[11]

E-mails recently obtained and made public through a FOIA request indicate that Burisma’s consulting firm used Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma’s board to gain access and potentially influence matters at the State Department. In a February 24, 2016, email with the subject line “Burisma,” a State Department official wrote:

Per our conversation, Karen Tramontano of Blue Star Strategies requested a meeting to discuss with [Under Secretary] Novelli [U.S.

Would appreciate any background you may be able to provide on this issue and suggested TPs for U/S Novelli’s meeting.^^[12]

Although it is not clear if Under Secretary Novelli met with Karen Tramontano on March 1, 2016, as planned, later that month Tramontano and other members of Burisma’s legal team reportedly met with Ukrainian prosecutors.^^[13]

According to what appears to be contemporaneous notes by one of those Ukrainian prosecutors, during that meeting, Burisma’s legal team apologized about what they alleged to be “false information” promoted by the U.S. Government about the prosecutors’ handling of the investigation of Burisma.^^[14]

Additionally, other documents obtained and made public through FOIA show other meetings that Burisma board members Hunter Biden and Devon Archer scheduled with high-ranking State Department officials.

In May 2015, Hunter Biden asked to meet then-Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken to “get [his] advice on a couple of things” and again for lunch on July 22, 2015.^^[15] On March 2, 2016, just one day after Tramontano was scheduled to meet with Under Secretary Novelli about Burisma, Devon Archer was scheduled to meet with Secretary of State John Kerry.^^[16]

To better understand what actions, if any, the Obama administration took to ensure that policy decisions relating to Ukraine and Burisma were not improperly influenced by the employment and financial interests of family members, please provide the following information no later than November 20, 2019:

All State Department records^^[17] relating to Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, Christopher Heinz, and Karen Tramontano.
All State Department records relating to Burisma Holdings, Rosemont Seneca Partners, Rosemont Seneca Bohai LLC, Rosemont Capital, and Blue Star Strategies.
Based on the February 24, 2016 e-mail cited above, it appears that Ms. Tramontano wanted to meet with then-Under Secretary Novelli.

Did this meeting occur? If so, when and who attended? Please produce all records relating to the meeting.
With respect to the March 2, 2016, meeting between Devon Archer and Secretary Kerry, did that meeting take place? If so, when did it occur, what was it about, and who attended? Please produce all records relating to the meeting.

With respect to the May 27, 2015, and July 22, 2015, meetings between Hunter Biden and Antony Blinken, did these meetings take place? If so, when did it occur, what was it about, and who attended? Please produce all records relating to the meeting.

In the February 24, 2016 e-mail cited above, a State Department employee wrote that, “Tramontano would like to talk with U/S Novelli about getting a better understanding of how the U.S. came to the determination that [Burisma] is corrupt.” Based on this e-mail, it appears that the U.S. had “determin[ed]” Burisma to be corrupt. Is this accurate? Please explain.

Has the State Department requested that the Office of the Legal Adviser or the Office of Inspector General review potential concerns and conflicts of interest related to Hunter Biden’s work for Burisma while Vice President Biden reportedly acted as the United States’ top official in Ukraine? If not, why not?

REFERENCE—WIKI The Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs is authorized by Rule XXV of the Standing Rules of the Senate to investigate “the efficiency, economy, and effectiveness of all agencies and departments of the Government.” Senate Resolution 70 (116th Congress) authorizes the Committee to examine “the efficiency and economy of operations of all branches and functions of the Government with particular references to (i) the effectiveness of present national security methods, staffing, and processes......”

Just saw the entire Levin interview with Giuliani on Fox last night.

Tough to find on Youtube, but here it is - about 45 minutes overall.

https://youtu.be/ZQy9FVHT_xo?t=585

I started the video at 9:45for you after Levin’s at the
9:45 point (Mark walked through the stuff we already know in the first 9 minutes) when Giuliani is on the tube.

Well worth watching... new information on China, and there are emails that explain stuff about how the Biden Crime Family funds are divided among several family members plus the “Big Guy”.

Giuliani’s personal observations of the trouble he went through and his analysis of the campaign are not to be missed at the end.
