A friend with that problem in 2016 bought cheap extension cords, cut and stripped BOTH ends, twisted around the sign, tied them to a stout evergreen (concealed), routed the cords obviously under the garage door.

Problem solved.
He’s a gearhead and would gladly used NEVERSEEZE; the stuff is murder to clothes and spreads like ants.
