One good thing about the Rona, I’ve grown to loathe Halloween over the years.

I was in Lowe’s home improvement recently. A modest section of Halloween items, and they already had a 2000 square foot section of Christmas inflatables and Christmas trees.

It is no longer a fantasy day for children. The movies about it are demonic and so violent they are disgusting. Adults have taken the day and turned it into a Bacchanalia worthy of of that namesake.

I'll give you another good thing, just the parade of non-stop bs about Bruce, or Madonna, or KUWTK (cancelled), or Taylor -- every float on that garbage-scow parade has no engine pulling them along.

I love kids. On Halloween I like to sit on my stoop for a few hours and hand out all the candy myself.

For various reasons I ended up not having children but I do have nephews and nieces.

But I am very naive. God knows what the neighbors must think of a 52-year-old man sitting outside handing out candy.

with my luck one of the mothers will mace me for handing out a Snickers.
