How a scandal-plagued Hunter Biden tried to disappear -- only to see his past dominate campaign

At the time Hunter Biden’s laptop reportedly sat unclaimed at a Delaware repair shop, the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joseph R. Biden was living a tumultuous life, including facing a paternity lawsuit from an exotic dancer.

The repair shop owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, told The New York Post a man who he cannot identify left the MacBook Pro in April 2019. He never returned, and Mr. Isaac eventually took custody. He gave a download of the contents to the FBI and President Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudolph W. Giuliani, who provided the data to the Post.

The chain of events raises the question of how someone — Mr. Biden, an associate or someone else — could forget about or knowingly discard a computer containing tens of thousands of emails that tell tales of lucrative foreign cash transactions. The hard drive also held explicit sex scenes involving drugs.

Robert Costello, Mr. Giuliani’s lawyer, told Fox News on Wednesday that the hard drive contains 40,000 emails, thousands of text messages, photographs and videos.

Hunter Biden’s attorney has not disputed that his client used the laptop.

Hunter Biden has long been a liability for his father’s presidential campaign. The elder Mr. Biden has weathered criticism dating back to his days as vice president in the Obama administration for conflict of interest over his son’s high-flying business deals.

Hunter Biden, who has been in and out of treatment centers for drugs and alcohol abuse, had moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to sort of disappear, he told The New Yorker for a July 2019 profile.

In April 2019, Hunter Biden ended his much-criticized relationship with Hallie Biden, the widow of his late brother, Beau.

I heard the shop owner, MacIsaac, interviewed by some local hack reporters trying to trip him up. He told them a drunk man who identified himself as Hunter Biden, when he asked him for a name, while entering the work order into his system, left the laptop. He didn’t know what Hunter Biden looked like and even being shown a picture can’t remember what the person looked like, it was almost a year ago & so many people have done business since then.

Since then a number of people involved in some of the email conversations have verified these were authentic. The Russian disinformation story is falling apart.

That’s really the ultimate part of the story, and why it matters. Hunter has drug and alcohol problems, which ordinarily is not a concern beyond his family. But rather than arrange for his son to seek help, Joe Biden used his political connections to make sure Hunter had enough money to pay for his addictions. He not only screwed the country with an abuse of power, he enabled his son, who was suffering from a deadly disease.

To a degree I agree, but others are still hearing it. The MSM can ignore it, or more importantly spin it as being nothing other than a sear campaign, but it is getting a lot of attention. There are people who may not like Trump who may still be hearing about it, which may cause them to just sit at home on election day.

The IP address should give the name of the person it belongs to. Possession is 9/10ths. of the law. Any computer technician who finds any trace of criminal activity on a hard drive, especially child porn, is required to notify the authorities. Failure to do so would put that person in serious trouble. The store owner did the right thing but for God's sake if that had been me I'd have been on the phone immediately with the NJ Cyber crimes Unit and screaming at them to get down here to my store and get this thing out of here! The NJ State Police run the Cyber Crimes Unit here in The Garden State and they don't fool around.

WASHINGTON-- House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi’s husband bought up to a quarter million dollars of stock in SunEdison, a now financially troubled green energy company just weeks before it announced a major 2014 acquisition that sent its stock price soaring. SunE's 2014 purchase of wind energy company First Wind “further bolstered the reputation of the company,” wrote one market-watcher at the time. “Perhaps unsurprisingly, SunEdison’s stock soared 29% on news of this acquisition alone.”

Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, had invested just in time. He bought between $100,000 and $250,000 in SunEdison stock on Oct. 24, 2014, according to congressional financial disclosures. The company announced its First Wind acquisition on Nov. 17.

Pelosi has previously been accused of trading stock based on information gleaned through her official duties. A law passed in the wake of that controversy prohibits members of Congress from using nonpublic information for personal gain. Language in that measure was informally dubbed the 'Pelosi Provision.' Pelosi’s office did not respond to questions about the timing of the purchase and whether she or her husband had any advance knowledge of the deal.
