Trump Plans To Do 5 Rallies A Day Leading Up To The Election

President Donald Trump said on a Monday campaign staff call that he plans on doing 5 rallies a day leading up to the election.

“We are going to win,” the president said, according to New York Post reporter Ebony Bowden. “I wouldn’t have told you that maybe two or three weeks ago.”

“We’re going to win. You’re going to work your assess off,” Trump added. “The only way we can lose this election is if they cheat.”

The president also told his campaign team to ignore negative news.

Trump was forced to take time off from in-person appearances on the campaign trail at the beginning of October when he was diagnosed with coronavirus and hospitalized. A debate originally planned for October 15 was canceled after the Commission on Presidential Debates announced that the event would be held virtually. Trump said that he would not participate in a virtual event.

Trump’s decision to hold 5 rallies per day comes after Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden’s campaign decided that the former Vice President would not make any public appearances until after the debate Thursday night. So far in October, Biden has taken six total days off from the campaign trail.

The Biden campaign said that the 3 days off in October were so that the former Vice President could prepare for the debate.

Meanwhile, Eric Trump announced the Trump team’s schedule for Monday and Tuesday, which appeared much busier than Biden’s.

Biden called an early lid a total of 11 days during the month of September, a move that drew criticism from several people, including President Trump. Trump said September 24 on Twitter that Biden is a “low energy individual” who would make a “low energy president.”

Not really. I’ll bet if we polled all of Free Republic, a decent number haven’t seen any start to finish. I’ve heard that Fox interrupts the feed with their opinions. Don’t know about any others. I don’t have cable and stream on RSBN.

Public speaking is a skill so few of us are good at, and when I mean good I mean being informative, interesting and capturing the interest of your audience. The president is speaking to tens of thousands of people at every rally and holds their attention every time. The president knows most of us Americans are plain spoken and he doesn’t talk down to us. He loves being amongst the hardworking American people, and it’s not a fake sentiment the way it is for Slow Joe who thinks he doesn’t have to work for our vote!

Yep. I wish I had 20% of his skill at really connecting with an audience.

My audiences are most frequently just a handful up to a few hundred. I once spoke to 10,000 or so for a few minutes. That wasn’t that nerve wracking because I knew none of them were actually listening.

I love when Trump stops mid sentence and says “Wow, look at that crowd!”

There are a few times when it seems he’s truly stunned.

No PA will not be stolen. They will cheat, as always, but Trump wins (not by as much as he should).

What is this all about? He was never losing. Not sure why things like this are said.

You have a skill that most Americans wish they had. I’ve done some public speaking and it was nerve wracking for me each time, and I can say I was dull as dishwater. I think the president’s straightforward, plain spoken way of addressing the American people is very appealing.

LOL!

Clearly you're not able to substantiate your incorrect position.

The Democrats shouldn’t have pissed him off.

And if it was the opposite and not that many rallies scheduled, you'd be concerned that Trump was giving up!

Concern trolls will troll no matter what.

Yeah, but it would be nice if he could point out that Biden’s tax plan would cost 4.1T, double the US budget. That the WSJ pointed out mean income for household would decrease by $6500 by 2030 instead of just ‘Biden is going to raise your taxes’.

at this point, trump literally seems to be the only person standing in the way of the destruction of our liberties.

this would be a good time for a cavalry to come to the rescue. i am nervous.

“I believe his strategy is to demonstrate the huge contrast between him and Biden.”

I don’t think it’s a political strategy - it is just the way he is by nature. It is a perseverance that all successful people have.

Get up early, pound the pavement, try out 150 ideas a day - most go nowhere but a few pan out... don’t go out and party at night.

Then, the next day do it again.

Most people with successful businesses failed a thousand times for each success but they didn’t look back they just tried again and again.

He had the reputation of being a playboy but I think that was mostly because he was a rich celebrity, schmoozing with important people - so there’s a lot of pictures of him wearing a tux - but I doubt he was really out partying.

He kept his nose to the grindstone.

Yes, he’s very smart, but there are a lots of very smart people. He’s a hard worker on top of being very smart.

“””Clearly you’re not able to substantiate your incorrect position.””””

Clearly I do not care why you get so wound up over an innocuous post. Do you have someone to call to help you through this crisis?

I’m still waiting to hear about those hard fighting Republicans you think exist.

...his skill at really connecting with an audience.

I think it’s mostly innate. A gift or a talent, although he has honed it over the years, so there’s skill in that.

He paces like a radio talk show host, interrupting his thoughts for asides and then returning to what he already primed you to want to hear. It annoys some linear thinkers, but it’s effective.

Numbers are better in print than in speech. People tune out numbers and don’t retain them.

“Will raise your taxes” gets attention. Anyone interested can go look up the exact amounts.

And Biden crowing ‘no one making less than $400k will have their taxes raised’.
Trump, ‘Biden is going to raise your taxes’.
A few numbers mean a lot, IMO.

Biden is the weakest Democratic candidate since Mondale.

He sure did well for a weak candidate.
