When you compare/contrast that with the much more conservative Desert News, it's pretty much night and day: Trib has us all screwed because there's no room for patients and there's no staff to treat them even if there were, while the News has us at a bit of crowding but no more so than when this whole thing started.

Masks are only mandated in public schools and state-owned buildings. We're being left to our own judgment calls for the most part: wear a mask if you're around non-family members AND you can't socially distance yourself. So far, that's about as much of a mandate as we've had to deal with.

There would be no reason to ration care if certain protocols were followed when people start having symptoms rather than waiting till positive test results and hospitalizations. The Zelenko Protocol is a legitimate treatment at this stage. Meanwhile stop making people wear masks outdoors.

Yes..many Specialty parts of big hospitals..stopped doing CABG's and such. And they LAID off workers.....Because many folks would not come to Hosp. to do elective procedures...for many reasons I suspect.

At the beginning of this virus my doc put EVERY patient on a supplement protocol of about 6 different supplements!! He told EVERY patient if we got a fever and cough call the office and he would electronically send the pharmacy the HCQ protocol he said we would have to start taking it before waiting for the test results to come back for it to work right away!!

Wrong. we did all the things I suggested and more for our surge in the spring and did just fine. we are ramping up to do the same again if needed so I know it can be done. We went so far as to create our own nursing home/rehab center on one of the floors in one of our hospitals so we had a place to send recovering patients that no longer needed acute care but were not ready to go home
