Yet if that were an Obama appointee, that appointee would have fully participated in this decision. Make book on it.
But let us be high minded and take the high road as the left kicks us in the nethers. Sure, this might cost us the election and result In said Court being packed and rendered irrelevant. But we can take heart knowing we played by the rules and were high minded.
Being a person in a position to approve or disapprove data based on the data’s approval worthiness, I am not so much being high-minded as keeping in focus the job of a Justice - to evaluate the law and the arguments made with respect to the law. In many other arenas I agree - it is time we fight fire with fire.
But having a SCOTUS justice who rules knee-jerk in our favor is beyond what I am willing to espouse.
