Trump baselessly sows doubt about election at Pennsylvania rallies while coronavirus surges
The Philadelphia Inquirer ^ | October 31, 2020 | by Julia Terruso, Chris Brennan

President Donald Trump traveled across Pennsylvania on Saturday, holding several large-scale rallies in defiance of public health guidance during which he leveled baseless claims of election fraud - and made no secret of the importance the state holds for his reelection hopes.

“If we win Pennsylvania, it’s over,” Trump told several thousand supporters gathered at an airport hangar in Reading. “It’s over. Let’s do it.”

Over the course of four appearances, Trump laid out a closing argument of sorts, although hardly a new one. He played down the pandemic a day after coronavirus cases reached new highs, attacked Joe Biden personally, and painted a picture of a country locked down if his rival wins the White House - even though Trump is president of a country where the economy and daily life have been upended by the pandemic.

Trump continued to baselessly sow doubt about an electoral process already well underway and set to reach its climax Tuesday, amid fears of political violence and a president who has refused to commit to accepting the results.

He suggested that Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, would tamper with mail ballots. County elections officials process ballots, not the Wolf administration.

And he signaled that if results aren’t known the night of the election, they can’t be trusted.

“You wait and very bad things can happen with ballots,” Trump said.

Pennsylvania elections officials aren’t allowed to begin opening mail ballots until 7 a.m. on Election Day, it could take days to complete that count, and there is no evidence whatsoever that anything nefarious will happen during the process.

I love having a puncher for a President.

What a refreshing change.

The Philly Inquirer has always been a defender of the failed city, which has been run by the Democratic party longer than Cuba has been run by a Castro.

The Inquirer makes false charges against Trump all the time.
The Inquirer never lists Biden’s claims as “UNFOUNDED”

The Philadelphia Inquirer is a dying paper that is a disgrace.

“baselessly”

When the writer uses language like “without evidence,” it is a flag for fake news and fake fact-checking.

The left’s mantra is that Trump is holding “super spreader” events while Biden is being responsible.

It is hilarious.

We know the PCR tests are giving massive numbers of false positives....and that positive cases are not resulting in massive hospitalizations or deaths.

The focus must be kept on hospitalizations and deaths, not the number of positive tests. Do not let the left reframe the discussion.

No, not baseless. Ed Rendell worked for years to set up PA vote fraud.

“Trump continued to baselessly sow doubt about an electoral process already well underway and set to reach its climax Tuesday, amid fears of political violence and a president who has refused to commit to accepting the results.”

This sentence is the perfect example of how media uses adjectives and adverbs in supposedly fact based stories to engineer a narrative below the surface. Note the word “baselessly” , on the one hand, to signal to readers the object of their disaffection is making up claims about electoral process cheating, but in the latter part of the sentence they do not posit “baselessly” in the last few words that he will refuse to accept the result of the election. How do they know? This is a baseless conclusory claim b the writer.

But his accusation puts them on notice of no funny business as I already called you out on it. They cannot support clean air if Trump is for it. So he says there is expected fraud, then there can’t be and they have to tamp it down and that might be enough to make it inert.

Thousands call Pennsylvania [Butler] county about requested ballots that never arrived
https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/30/politics/pennsylvania-butler-county-ballots/index.html

(CNN)The whereabouts of an untold number of ballots in Pennsylvania’s Butler County that were slated for delivery to would-be voters in next week’s election remain unaccounted for, the county’s director of elections said Thursday.

Postal officials say they are unaware of any issues, but the director, Aaron Sheasley, said the county has received in excess of 10,000 phone calls seeking information about ballots that were requested but not received, and that some callers have called multiple times.

“Somewhere between the post office and the Pittsburgh sorting facility something happened,” Sheasley told CNN. “We don’t know what.” He added, “We haven’t given out any numbers because we simply don’t know.”

Butler County is located north of Pittsburgh and has about 150,000 registered voters, said Sheasley, who said the county is “pulling out all the stops” to make sure those impacted by the issue are able to vote. County officials said in a press release Thursday that they sent out about 40,000 ballots and have had 21,300 returned so far, but it’s unclear how many voters have received ballots but simply haven’t returned them yet.

The confusion is of particular national interest given Pennsylvania’s critical role as a swing state. Butler County overwhelmingly voted for President Donald Trump in 2016 over Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, 66% to 29%, according to CNN’s election results.

Vote fraud in Philadelphia? Say it ain’t so!

These Leftist hacks act like Trump said that the Sun would be blotted out by a flock of flying pigs. In reality, that is more likely than there NOT being voter fraud in Philly.
