In the United States — which, unlike many other countries, does not have a national electoral commission — the role of calling the winners of presidential elections falls to the news media. Here’s how it will work:
Each TV network makes its own state-by-state determinations. ABC, CBS, CNN and NBC, as part of the group of news organizations belonging to the National Election Pool, base their calls on data gathered by Edison Research. The Associated Press, which has assigned 4,000 reporters to collect information from county clerks in 50 states, conducts its own count. Fox News, starting in 2018, has relied on a model that draws from data provided by The A.P.
Major news organizations, including NPR, PBS and the newspaper chains Gannett and McClatchy, wait for The A.P. to call races before they report results. Other outlets, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, use data from The A.P. to help them make their own determinations. Reuters will deliver results in collaboration with the National Election Pool.

Reading that carefully I see that if the Marxists can delay the electors into next year they could also delay a president until the following year and Nancy would become the interim president. Anyone else see that? Tinfoil hat at the laundry.

In this case, assuming that the decision ties into an actual law, Mr. Sullivan’s decision has merit. Every LEGAL mail-in ballot, should it be brought to the vote counters on time according to a given state’s law, should be counted. Since the USPS apparently cannot find its own behind with a flashlight and both hands, Mr. Sullivan’s decision may turn out to be a good thing in the end.
I just hope that the lawyers are ready for all the hinky “found” ballots that result.

The point is the NYT is trying to control "The Narrative".
The NYT wants people to believe the media is the one who declares the winner and a lot of dumb people will believe it and repeat it.
This is the disinformation the media says they want to prevent.
i wonder how many people used the ballot boxes the states had set up, and not use the USPS???

The media declared Al Gore had won the election in Florida before the polls had closed in the pan handle , many voters in the pan handled left voting areas almost giving the state to Gore. The press reports news, it doesn’t certify elections.
