Joe Biden may become the next president, which makes me want to chug bleach, but down-ticket was a different story. Democrats failed miserably to retake the Senate. At the state level, Democrats failed to retake key state legislatures. For the next decade, the GOP remains in control of a lot of the congressional maps. Yet, NBC News said its a foregone conclusion. Democrats will keep the House:
Democrats will maintain control of the House of Representatives, NBC News projects, but their path to taking control of the Senate has narrowed significantly as numerous Republican incumbents fended off strong opposition.Democrats failed to pick up some of the Senate seats they were banking on to capture a majority. Their hopes for a big night were dashed up and down the ballot, as President Donald Trump outperformed his polls against Joe Biden in a race still to be decided.
In Maine, Republican Sen. Susan Collins was declared by NBC News as the apparent winner.
416 House races appear decided Democrats 212 Republicans 204 (+10)
19 Seats remain, GOP lead in 10
To win 218 (and House majority), GOP would need to win all the districts they are leading in, plus: CA-25 GA-07 PA-17 UT-04 Adrian Gray (@adrian_gray) November 5, 2020
Rs get the benefit of Trump's insane turnout among marginal cultural conservatives deciding to vote plus some traditional Rs who won't vote for Trump but still vote R downballot. https://t.co/FxjXandg5b Sean T at RCP (@SeanTrende) November 5, 2020
House Races Called As Of Now
Dems 212 GOP 205 (+11) Political Polls (@PpollingNumbers) November 5, 2020
In fact, the 2020 House race prediction by these polling experts was that Democrats would gain seats. Theyre not. In fact, theyve lost seats and now it may be too early to say that the House will be firmly in Democratic hands. Right now, the Republicans have gained 10 seats. They are on the cusp of retaking the House. There are 19 House races left. In ten, the Republican is leading. If the GOP wins those races, plus, California 25th, Georgia Seventh, Pennsylvania seventeenth, and Utahs Fourth congressional racesthey take the House. In CA 25, Republican Rep. Mike Garcia is trailing. In Georgia 7th, Republican Rich McCormick is also trailing, but these are razor-thin margins, folks. In PA 17, incumbent Conor Lamb, Democrat, declared victory but Republican Sean Parnell isnt conceding. And in Utahs 4th congressional race, Republican Burgess Owens has taken the lead against Democratic Rep. Ben McAdams.
Either way, the Democratic majority has been whittled down big league, which means no mandate for the insane action items the far left wants to be enacted.
Oh, and did I mentioned that GOP women have dominated this cycle?

Well keep you updated.
I'll part with what Virginia Rep. Abigail Spanberger said in a caucus call today. She appears to win re-election, albeit barely, noting that the defund the police and socialism antics could have torpedoed her bid for a second term. She also said the party is heading for rocky shoals in 2022 if they continue with their 2020 messaging. In fact, she said they'll "get f**king torn apart."
Spanberger on the Dem caucus call: We lost races we shouldnt have lost. Defund police almost cost me my race bc of an attack ad. Dont say socialism ever again. Need to get back to basics. (Is yelling.) Erica Werner (@ericawerner) November 5, 2020If we run this race again we will get fucking torn apart again in 2022, Spanberger says Erica Werner (@ericawerner) November 5, 2020
The “flip 17” number is correct.
The article is confusing, because it does not identify which seats are currently held by which party. Some of the close races where the Republicans are leading are currently held by Republicans.
PA-17 is over, sadly, but good for Parnell to not give up. If the Republicans can invalidate fraudulent PA ballots (yeah, right) then Parnell wins and so do 2 other Republican challengers in eastern PA (PA-7 and PA-8).
If the results stand, maybe we get PA-7 and forget the other 2.
Thats simply not true. A lot of these GOP gains are in districts that have pockets of conservative and moderate voters in deep Blue states like New York and California.
What do you think about this proposal? Stranger things have happened, right? And it would end Nancy P’s Reign of Error.
Look at your own House district in New York! Your Trump vote didnt do him a damn bit of good, but your GOP House vote helped flip that district.
Fox also announced immediately that democrats would increase their majority.
Thats an interesting thought, but the more likely scenario would be the minority party cutting deals with a small group of moderate Democrats to support a Democrat House speaker in a district that was Republican up until 2018.
Republicans in the House should all vote for AOC for Speaker. She will make the RATs into even more of a laughing stock!
I like this idea. I like this a lot.
“Redistricting cost two in NC”
Court ordered redistricting overturning the GOP legislature drawn districts.
You are right. That would be ideal. Some meaningful legislation paring back the Regulatory State could then be passed and also sail through the Senate, lobbyists notwithstanding.

Numbers are confusing.
I did read 3 incumbent Rs lost House seats. Not sure where they fit in the numbers.
I heard that as well. I was gone after that.
I think that is the post of the day.
BTTT.
Great idea! We cant get our person voted in, but we can help make the Democrats sorry about their own party.

I speak of trends.
Perhaps more than ever I wish I was in a beer pub with my FRiends as we hash this out.
The fact this election is even in doubt tells me the USA as we know and love her is done. Gibmedats have won the day. The takers overtook we makers.
Trumps coattails are only good for everyone else if we are to believe the lying dems and press.

Almost 48 hours after polls closed in Pennsylvania, the Associated Press named GOP Incumbent Scott Perry the winner of the hotly contested and pricey race against Democrat Eugene DePasquale in Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District.
Hey Nancy......enjoy the suck.....2 scoops
So we are looking at 220 to 216, very narrow majority. Pelosi may well be gone.
Welcome to the new world of US voting, where it never ends!
