Tucker Carlson of the Fox News Channel says Senate Republicans are attempting to pack foreign workers into high-paying U.S. jobs while nearly 18 million Americans are jobless.
On Thursday evening, Carlson slammed Senate Republicans for failing to stop Sen. Mike Lee’s (R-UT) green card giveaway that will allow Indian nationals to effectively monopolize employment-based green cards for at least a decade and tech corporations to privatize the system.
The giveaway solidifies that employment-based visas only go to temporary foreign visa workers, mostly on H-1B visas, who have been imported to the U.S. by corporations to replace American workers, thus rewarding companies who outsource American white-collar jobs.
As noted by Carlson, the giveaway comes as the Justice Department files suit against Facebook — which lobbied for the giveaway — for allegedly discriminating against Americans in favor of foreign workers.
“We’ve known for a long time that Silicon Valley wants foreign workers to dominate our economy,” Carlson said. “They don’t care what kind of effect that has on Americans. What’s surprising is that in a time of mass unemployment — and that’s what we have now, mass unemployment — the Republican Party of all people is helping them do it. That’s happening.”
“Yesterday, the Republican-controlled Senate unanimously passed a law called the ‘Fairness for High Skilled Immigrants Act.’ As if the problem with America is that we don’t have enough fairness for people from other countries. No concern about fairness for Americans,” Carlson continued. “The whole process took a matter of moments. It was led by Utah Senator Mike Lee. And without any objections, passed it.”
Carlson described the giveaway as an outsourcing scheme levied against young, middle-class Americans who aspire to U.S. technology jobs. Their job prospects, Carlson said, will be crushed as a result:

Tucker showing his controlled opposition cards now. He could be dropping third party bombs on the GOP and he is not. With the GA runoffs now is the time to apply pressure. GOP needs MAGA votes now. After that they won’t.
Problem is most don't understand this.
Being a conservative most of the time except when his principle really matters. This is an unforgivable act. Now he is back to being a good conservative. Who knows what he will do next time under the similar circumstance?
Good point; we are at a point where the only “middle-class or better” jobs in this country in the non-unionized private sector are STEM-related - and they are importing hordes of Asians to do those jobs.
The financial sector is increasingly enmeshed with tech, and the same dynamic is at work; if back-office jobs can’t be sent to Asia, they’ll traffick the Asians here. As in tech, there is no shortage of Americans with the required skills; also as in tech, this will become a self-fulfilling prophecy as young Americans realize employers don’t want them (do they’ll shy away from the field).

Finance, insurance, business, logistics, real estate are all areas where Asians, er let’s be honest, Indians, are invading and taking over.
We do have the trades, however, looking at typical max salaries, they top out at maybe $35/ hr to $40/ hr (seen on various sources). And it takes decade or so to get out of apprenticeship hell.. Sure some do, of course, make more (as some Freepers are sure to remind us)
Those of us 40 and above can’t start back down at the bottom. Our bills sure don’t. What’s left for us?
Even the trades are steadily bleeding good jobs; contractors show up with semi-skilled illegals to do more and more work (they aren’t just landscapers). A friend working as a roofer for years was told he’d be let go if he didn’t learn Spanish; they wanted him to supervise a group of them (otherwise he wasn’t worth paying anymore).
The real danger is that the under-40 American demographic watches this unfold and has basically refused to breed.
Mexicans, Muslims, Indians and hood rats are sure breeding like rabbits...
Americans are turning away from STEM college programs as even 18/19 year-olds see that foreigners are taking all the jobs. Why get a ball-busting 4-year degree just to work at Starbucks?
So what’s left for Americans? Brutal warehouse distribution jobs, sub-minimum wage gig work and McJobs.
Unfortunately a lot of the lower-skilled jobs aren’t available to them, as employers prefer desperate immigrants sending money home to their family of 50 south of the border.
I don’t see Indians breeding large families, but they are moving tons of them here to NJ (so there are a lot of children in the schools). The constant reinforcements of those groups, coupled with the negative birthrate of Americans for many years now, has given us a demographic nightmare; fewer and fewer people in this country have any connection to its founding or roots. Even the non-WASP European immigrants (and until the late 1960s, most blacks) saw the WASP ideals as something to imitate to prosper here; that ethic is dead for many “replacement Americans”, who instead blame “racism” for their own shortcomings/bad decisions.
