I saw Lech Walesa speak once. The way he put it, it was difficult to leave the USSR because no country MADE one thing. Each made parts to a product.

Looks like the same game at play here.

Not quite the same - different countries specialized in certain products, but they also manufactured the sub-components.

In this case it is companies who spread their supply chains across countries
