Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp on Thursday told reporters that he, his wife and three daughters have been targeted with conspiracy theory-fueled death threats and false claims after he refused President Trump's request to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in the state, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Why it matters: Kemp did not blame Trump for the attacks, even though the president has openly raged against the governor, promoted false claims of election fraud and attempted to encourage officials to overturn Biden's victory.
Context: Trump asked Kemp over the phone in early December to call a special legislative session aimed at overturning the presidential election results in Georgia.
Kemp refused, and Trump in turn denounced the governor in a tweet.
What they're saying: “It has gotten ridiculous — from death threats, bribes from China, the social media posts that my children are getting,” Kemp said. “We have the ‘no crying in politics rule’ in the Kemp house. But this is stuff that, if I said it, I would be taken to the woodshed and would never see the light of day.”
“I can assure you I can handle myself. And if they’re brave enough to come out from underneath that keyboard or behind it, we can have a little conversation if they would like to.”
The big picture: Kemp said his relationship with Trump is "fine."
"I know he’s frustrated, and I’ve disagreed on things with him before,” the governor said, adding: “Look, at the end of the day, I’ve got to follow the laws and the Constitution and the Constitution of this state.” Trump, however, has called Kemp a “fool” and a "clown" and said he was "ashamed" for endorsing him in 2018.

They’re not conspiracy theorists, knucklehead. So called “conspiracy theorists” have been right about a lot stuff lately. As for the threats, it’s quite “understandable”.
The Supreme Court comprehends that its reach does not extend to felony and larceny in the voting precincts.
That job belongs to the citizens of those states and residents of those neighborhoods to police their vote properly. And not to complain if they haven’nt. Not sayin’ that’s right or wrong. Just the way it is.
Allowing things to deteriorate into a “near Civil War” status and then expecting the “mother of all kraken” birthed in the US Supreme Court to save the day just isn’t about to happen. Neither is some magical EO about to save the day.
A massive revelation of foreign intrusion upon the integrity of the vote could possibly invalidate the election. But it will need half the House and Senate to be uncomfortable enough to do so. We the People do have the capacity to make them uncomfortable.
We-all 74 million of us- have to knock on their doors 24 hrs a day about it for the next 4 weeks.If we do so the Insurrection Act can be enacted successfully. Otherwise PDJT will be impeached if he attempts to.

I strongly call BS on this. Where is the proof? I believe it is just a lame excuse he and the dems have fabricated ... like they have so many other times in the past. Kemp is a bought and paid for coward and I am confident that this will be proven. He is disgrace to the people of Georgia and a traitor to the US.
Oh, I believe his family has been threatened. In fact they car bombed the daughter’s boyfriend, and then suicided the investigator.
But they were Chinese, not pro-Trump.
While he sits in his cozy mansion, afraid of the truth, real Patriots are getting physically assaulted and blacklisted. Look at the Trump supporters getting attacked after rallies. One of Powell’s witnesses in GA was attacked and hospitalized, another, just yesterday lost her job for being a whistleblower.
Of course there is his daughter’s boyfriend getting blown up. I don’t think that was Trumpsters.
