Manhattan DA expands criminal investigation into Trump Organization finances to include family compound in Westchester County

The Manhattan district attorney's office has expanded its criminal investigation into the Trump Organization's finances to include the family's compound in Westchester County, according to lawyers and people familiar with the investigation.

Prosecutors' interest in the 212-acre property called Seven Springs is a significant widening of an investigation that began more than a year ago. It also draws closer to President Donald Trump's son Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, who was directly involved in discussions about the property now under scrutiny, according to court filings.

Prosecutors sent grand jury subpoenas within the past two months to town officials seeking documents and communications that officials had with the Trump Organization relating to development plans it considered for the sprawling family property.

"Yup. But so far they have nothing."

I'm sure they started looking into his finances the minute he entered the Presidential race. 4 1/2 years later, they're still looking. You'd think they would have found something by now.

Schumer warned Trump early on if you go against the Deep State, they’ll get you 6 ways to Sunday. None of this is surprising. He broke their little club and now must be made an example of so no outsider ever follows him to the White House.

they’re looking under every rock at the cleanest man in modern politics. If they’re reduced to looking at tax credits for donating land into nature conservancy, it would seem they’ve got nothing left to look at.

Thought of something else regarding the property values, wouldn’t the IRS have picked up on this stuff? Wouldn’t that stuff have been a part of his returns? I’ve never owned a home, so I have no idea.

Michael Cohen said Trump undervalued family properties to cheat on taxes (tax fraud)...

Doesn't an assessor place a value on the properties for tax purposes?

Donald Trump has been the most investigated person during the past four years in history. There were large sums of money offered to anyone who could find any possible violation, or infraction. (or dirt)

But the good news is that he survived - so far.

This is illegal. It is a criminal act to go on a fishing expedition looking for a crime. That’s not how the justice system in the USA works. The NYS AG is also guilty of these fishing expeditions against Trump. No doubt Trump is not the only victim.

Imagine the scene: a Law & Order episode where Jack McCoy goes to the police captain and detectives with a name Name1, then demands that they fabricate an investigation to come up with a crime he can prosecute against Name1. No episode begins that way because this is illegal.

Our system does not work this way exactly to avoid witch hunts, political and personal retribution, abuse of power. In our system a crime occurs, then police investigate, then they prosecute.

I guess NO ONE is in charge now and there are NO LAWS. You can thank Obama for weaponizing the already corrupt departments and agencies of the federal govt. The bible calls it Man of Lawlessness among other things.

Trump has to be the most squeaky clean man in the USA. He has had a proctology examp by law enforcement for five years now, his wires tapped, his associates squeezed, arrested, jailed, his taxes leaked, investigation upon investigation and they have found absolutely nothing, not one shred or you know damned well it would have been published with screaming headlines.

They're going to have to make something up. And they will.

Trump must be very squeaky clean.

Evil people hate that, too, because evil people are all sellouts.

Real Estate value is tough to determine without a recent arms length transaction.

True, but Snowden is a lot smaller fish than Trump. Still, Putin would likely protect Trump. He should. The forces that seek to destroy this country already destroyed Russia. Same people, same goals, same reasons.

” if Republicans gain control of the House or Senate in ‘22 Comey,Brennan,Clapper,Weisman,Rice,Yates are vulnerable.”

From Jan 2017 to Jan 2019 the GOP controlled both houses of Congress and Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Weisman, Rice, Yates enjoyed life as did Hunter and Joe. When push comes to shove the RINOs will do nothing.

Does a grand jury subpoena mean a grand jury has convened and determined there may be a crime, or does it mean the AG is looking for evidence to provide for a grand jury?

With all the obvious-to-us voter fraud and all the in-our-face crimes perpetuated by the two previous administrations, and the best they can do is to make stuff up about Trump?

Just damn.

Tell that to Ronnie Earle of Travis County (Austin) Texas.

If I were a member of the Trump family, I would be hiring investigators to dig up dirt on EVERY member of the Manhattan DA’s office and the New York AG’s office in Albany.
