I would sooner McCarthy meet with Sammy the bull.

McCarthy’s cohorts, Pelosi, Schumer and the like, will not like that he is going to see the criminal unless they’ve okayed it as long as he reports back to them on the meeting. Secretly recording it is probably part of his orders.
Make him fly down there and then make him wait. Go play a round of golf and never show up.
Perhaps Trump has obtained Pelosi’s stolen laptop and wants McCarthy to see some of the contents.

Exactly. Why would anyone trust anything any republican senator says or promises? McCarthy is probably telling Trump that the Senate wants to censure him. Or the secret vote is a real possibility, dems and repubs colluding. If Trump hasn't learned that he can't trust anyone in the GOP then I'm not sure what the solution is ..

Sometimes one has to meet with the enemy face-to-face to let him know there’s a vise waiting for his balls.
McCarthy had a choice - stay neutral after Jan 6th and figure out the facts (like police waving in our people, Antifa leading the attack, etc.) - or listen to the media.
He really should have waited because he chose wrong (along with virtually every other Republican...and for about the 100th time with Trump).
McCarthy was mentored an trained by Bill Thomas. Anyone remember him? I do since I live in their district.
President Trump will have to look long, and hard to find McCarthy's balls.

like Gladiator, Trump is offering his hand once... if the RINO McCarthy wants to be speaker (I don’t think he does), he better be MAGA.
It’s political theater. McCarthy pretends to be Trump’s ally and Trump does the same in return because he does not want to appear isolated. The fact is Trump has no allies in the swamp. Not a single elected Republican has dropped a dime on the corrupt nature of the GOP.

I do not remember Thomas.
I do remember that several years back McCarthy was pushed by the establishment Republicans as one of their “Top Guns,” along with Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan—not good company in which to be found.
