If you or I shot her, we would be arrested. If a local police officer in the midwest shot someone doing the exact same thing at city hall, they would go to prison. There are no special laws authorizing deadly force for going into the capitol.

Even if she got through the window there was a mountain of furniture piled up against the doors that she needed to climb over to even get on her feet. I don’t condone what she was doing but she was not a threat requiring deadly force.
