McConnell did not hold back as he ripped Trump apart for a “disgraceful dereliction of duty” and attempting to “overturn the election.”
He claimed that the protesters stormed the Capitol because they had been “fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on earth,” and that Trump was “practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day....."

Why did McConnell feel it so damn urgent to trash Trump immediately following the Dem’s failed kangaroo prosecution? Was the opportunity to deny Trump a moment of celebration so compelling that McConnell couldn’t wait till tomorrow to grind his axe?
When you consider the Senate Minority Leader’s ugly display of rank animosity is probably personally offensive to the majority of Trump’s 74+ million voters there’s no doubt McConnell made a major political blunder. Most GOP voters now despise him, will never trust him, and are waiting for him to call for help when BLM and ANTIFA come knocking.
We can only hope. Career politician. Dump him.
We won’t forgive or forget. Unhappily, Trump campaigned FOR McConnell last fall and McConnell is probably too old to primary 6 years from now anyways. But ZERO dollars or SUPPORT from me for ANY GOP candidate who McConnell likes.

McConnell never liked Trump from the beginning. He said bad thing, had a bad hairdo and worst of all really meant it when he said he was going to drain the swamp. Mitch had to publicly play nice with Trump but you know at the private parties with Schumer and his other Senate pals he loathed Trump as much as any Democrat. McConnell is equally satisfied being in the minority as being the Majority Leader because the spoils still keep rolling in, the country be damned.
Translation: “He was so guilty, so morally bankrupt of leading the insurrection, that the only thing a man with no spine of conviction could do was to voted to acquit him! See that Kentucky! Please don't lynch me when me and the China doll come home”
If the new [insert name of new party here] party is unable to induce a suitable R candidate to switch to the new party, it should challenge every remaining R on every primary ballot with a fresh candidate who does represent the new party.
Granted, it seems a dramatic action, but the R party clearly appears to be an increasingly compromised (read neutered) organization.

Is McConnell hiding the evidence that shows that there were no "show stopper" election irregularities such as outright voter fraud, ballot mishandling, contestable process fouls, equal protection clause violations, voting machine irregularities, and significant statistical anomalies?
Where are the results of deep audits and forensic examination of the voting machines?
Election integrity concerns are a show stopper for the 2020 election. These concerns must be put away by presenting the evidence that all was well, or identifying and fixing irregularities.
Where is the evidence that we were fed wild falsehoods, Mitch McConnell? Are you working night and day to ensure that we have election integrity, or is it too easy to declare that all is well?
