McConnell never liked Trump from the beginning. He said bad thing, had a bad hairdo and worst of all really meant it when he said he was going to drain the swamp. Mitch had to publicly play nice with Trump but you know at the private parties with Schumer and his other Senate pals he loathed Trump as much as any Democrat. McConnell is equally satisfied being in the minority as being the Majority Leader because the spoils still keep rolling in, the country be damned.
