A New York City waitress says she was fired from a popular Brooklyn restaurant after choosing not to get the COVID-19 vaccine for fear it might hurt her chances of getting pregnant.
Bonnie Jacobson, 34, told The Post that the management at Red Hook Tavern canned her on Monday because she balked at getting the shot immediately.
“It was shocking to me,” she said Wednesday. “I went through the stages: I’m hurt, I’m in shock — then I got mad.” Jacobson, who has been married since October 2019, stressed that she’s not an anti-vaxxer and “fully supports” people being inoculated, but said she wants to wait for more research on the coronavirus vaccine’s possible effects on fertility.

This is a real legal issue; can employers mandate something that hasn’t passed the normal years-long review process?
I don’t want the vaccine at this point, but would probably get it if the alternative was losing my job.
Some co-workers are making it a moot point by refusing to return to the office (working remotely); management seems to be unsure as to how to deal with them. If they force them in and one gets sick/dies or brings it home to someone who gets sick/dies, what is the legal responsibility of the employer?
I’m personally fine with getting the vaccine; but I support anyone’s individual choice to forego it for their own personal reasons.
(It seems to me that this personal choice should come under the same sort of Constitutional ‘penumbra’ of privacy - just like the pro-abortionists tell us that abortion does.)

Why not IQ test the owners also, just to make sure they don't do something dangerous to large numbers of people?

My wife and I our “young” enough to not get a priority. 87 year old mom is not getting it. She said it has nothing to do with our views on it (we don’t want it), but she doesn’t think it is worth the risk as she is in great health.
Everyone that I talk to in Liberal land where we live is overjoyed when they get it, or complaining that they can’t get it fast enough. I haven’t heard anyone outside of my own family that is talking about the pros and cons of it. They just sound like “well of course I’m glad to get the vaccine and I don’t have to worry anymore! I’m saved!! It’s SCIENCE!!! Follow, trust the SCIENCE!!”
If Covid was deadlier to my age-group (and healthy) I might be more tempted to get the vaccine. But I figure the risk vs. rewards does not weigh in favor of the vaccine for me at the moment.
I hope some lawyers are starting a class action group for people who won’t take the vaccine.
Ummmmm...it doesn’t alter your DNA and I would love to know how it alters your RNA. Your post suggests you don’t know what RNA really is...so, can you clarify what RNA is?
In my (at will) state I can require the vaccine. While I Do not require it, it seems that all the sudden. lot of Freepers don’t like the free market. Fascinating.
Most that I’ve have known that got it are total and complete Democrats.
Why? All this demonstrates is that you are as much as a tyrant as the liberals -> willing to engage in lawfare because you disagree. Freedom is about letting a private company do what it wants. Don’t like it? Work for someone else. I find it amazing that Freepers are willing to be as hard handed as liberals when it fits there agenda. You, my friend, are not a conservative. Shame on you.

The point is we won’t be able to do anything without a vaccination. The Nazis came to Austria during WWII and told the restaurant owners they could only have round tables, no square ones allowed. The communists have taken over this country and this just the beginning of the rules you’ll have to follow. The chaos is just starting. You think it’s just vaccinations, it’s way beyond that.
