He’s right. Time to move forward with some fresh faces. Maybe DeSantis, Hawley or somebody else. Won’t have any success groveling about the past. McConnell too needs to fade away.

I would take Trump over either of those, and over anyone else who is named as potential GOP front runners for 2024. Nothing against these guys, but Trump has two big things in his favor over any of them:

1. He’s not a politician.

2. He has an outstanding track record AS PRESIDENT that one of these other contenders has.
