He was in jail on a “life” sentence, so obviously someone else bears some responsibility for him being free on the streets to commit another crime.

I don’t forgive the parole boards who knowingly release violent, unreformed and unrepentant criminals back into society. Members of the parole board should be forced to live next to the halfway houses where the parolees are released to, then maybe they would think twice about their decisions.

Parole boards should be held responsible for the crimes of the people they release. Being paroled should be a reward for the convict improving himself and developing prospects beyond prison. Most convicts shouldn’t get it...
