The judge in Derek Chauvin’s murder trial slammed Rep. Maxine Waters’ call for protesters to “get confrontational” if the ex-cop is cleared in the death of George Floyd on Monday — saying it could lead the to the whole case “being overturned.”
The stunning remarks came as the city of Minneapolis braces for unrest while the jury deliberates in the case.
Defense attorney Eric Nelson had urged Hennepin County District Judge Peter Cahill to declare a mistrial, arguing that “an elected official, US Congressperson” made statements that “I think are reasonably interpreted to be threats against the sanctity of the jury process” and had the effect of “threatening and intimidating the jury.” Cahill denied the motion but told Nelson, “I’ll give you that Congresswoman Waters may have given you something on appeal that may result in this whole trial being overturned.”

Judge earlier refused to sequester the jurors.
Yeah right.
how long have they been deliberating?? thanks.
Matt Walsh made a good point today. Waters is calling for more confrontation (violence) if Chauvin isn’t convicted of 1st degree murder. But he isn’t charged with 1st degree murder.
So there is no way the mob can be satisfied, assuring increased violence. In fact, the mob began to shoot at the national guard just a couple of hours after her incitement.
That would suit Kerosene Maxine just fine. She WANTS the cities to burn.
Some local citizen “crimestoppers” need to contest the next riot.
Images of dead rioters lined up in the street would give certain people pause.
A couple hours.
Where’s Goode Olde “H Rap Brown” when we need him ————
“Burn Baby Burn”!!!
Guilty or not guilty won’t matter. They are, as obxxx used to say: “Fired up. Ready to go!”. Either angry mayhem or celebratory mayhem.
Maybe that was her intent so that they have an excuse to destroy neighborhoods and businesses.
oh okay. thanks. I see on the cable news there is a BLM crowd outside the courtroom screaming already.
The appellate court will dodge, run as well

Add her CRAP to the. L O N G list of reasons for a MIS-TRIAL.
Change of venue is justified because of last year’s lootiin’ and burnin’

More, too. I’m sure.

thanks.
If they don’t come back tonight I guess they’ll stop deliberating in a couple of hours and resume tomorrow morning.

Revolution
[Verse 1]
You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it’s evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
[Pre-Chorus 1]
But when you talk about destruction
Don’t you know that you can count me out
[Verse 2]
You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We’d all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We’re all doing what we can
[Pre-Chorus 2]
But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is, brother, you have to wait
[Verse 3]
You say you’ll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it’s the institution
Well, you know
You better free your mind instead
[Pre-Chorus 3]
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow

“Constructive ends can never give absolute moral justification to destructive means, because in the final analysis the end is preexistent in the mean.”
That may be Big mouth came to town.
They just went into deliberations this evening.
