You could end US production of gas/diesel cars tomorrow, with the idiots thinking people would just naturally go out to buy the electric cars. It won’t happen. Used cars would suddenly have value and double in price within weeks. The car sales industry would stand there in shock as general interest is marginal.
You could even hand every single American $50,000 in cash if they’d buy a battery-car....it won’t reset the mentality about the acceptance.

Buying one or 2 draft horses to pull your gas car would be cheaper.
