Smokers typically pay higher insurance rates so it stand to reason that people who refuse to get a COVID shot might see their coverage costs increase. However, staff at the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner said that is not legal and they want to hear from people if it happens.
“An unvaccinated person cannot be charged more than a vaccinated person," said Steve Valandra, the deputy commissioner for public affairs with the Insurance Commission. "It's just not allowed."
However, self-insured companies are exempt from this, and are not subject to regulation by the state insurance commissioner. Delta Air Lines is one such company that has since announced a $200 monthly surcharge and weekly testing for employees who refuse to get the COVID shot.

Me neither for a number of moral and other reasons - but those who do get it through coercion like this are probably going to pout together some nice lawsuits in future years.
I don’t care if Delta wants to unfairly punish its unvaccinated employees. The free market will sort that out - and if it is a stupid idea, then Delta will be less competitive as a result.
As long as the Government steers clear of this BS.

At root, they know that all the reasons you don’t want the jab are the same reasons you didn’t want gay marriage, Obamacare, illegal immigration...
THIS battle is about essential Liberty, and they are avidly inventing ways to wrest it from your grasp.
If some very smart people are correct, the vaxxed will soon be costing the insurance companies far more than the unvaxxed if they aren’t already.
Doesn’t what’s left of Obamacare prohibit that sort of thing?

Smoking is a known, proven health risk. There are years of actuary tables establishing the risks involved.
Not getting a covid vaccine is a completely different story. Who's taking the bigger risks, the unvaccinated or the vaccinated with all kinds of side effect risks?
I would suggest that the results aren't in yet.
This guy's premise was faulty from the beginning.
Montana has shown a powerful way to combat this over-reach.
And there are 23 states where Republicans control both legislative houses and the governor’s office; they should be attempting to enact their own versions of Montana’s HB 702.
If they don’t they are completely worthless and should be removed in the next primary.

Except that if you’ve already had Covid, you do not need a vaccine. Plus, you’re not dead. Plus, most have not even needed a doctor.
Same here with me and my wife. February of 2020 and I didn’t have to go to a doctor, nor did my wife. She was sicker than I. I shrug it off in 3 days. Hers lasted a couple weeks.
I know a guy that’s been vaxxed and trouble started with his heart racing now on drugs for that. Also he’s had a stroke and now has copd. I’m not sure if those things started after the shot. I have a bunch they did. Last year none of that. This year, he’s falling a part. My mom has a neighbor who’s been suffering for months after his vaxx.
May I ask, was this a test kit purchased from Kroger? Was it self administered?
Their pharmacy administered it. I found them by googling rapid antibody test for my location.
Thanx. I’d love to see if I have antibodies, believing I already had the Wuhu flu last year after a coworker arrived back ill from a Chinese business trip.
