“Maybe the author is right and leadership will spring up from where we least expect it.”
Yes, a ‘man of the people’ will emerge and his name is tyrant. At first he will serve the people but as power corrupts his name comes to have the meaning most associate with ‘being a tyrant’.
Like the markets turning we can never predict what sets off great changes in motion. But I sense one is coming in this great land of our. . . the great silent majority is slowly awakening. Just my 2¢.
That’s always the problem with great leaders. The problem is that sometimes it seems that the only thing that can defeat a tyrant is another tyrant…and when people get desperate enough, they’ll go for it.
Maybe only one or two at first, but as the dam breaks others will reject DC and live by Our Constitution. It won't be one person that leads all at first - it will be many individuals in many different places coming together for the common good.
Basically, the Rule of Federal Laws will be rejected, much as Texas has done with abortion and election laws. We will become sanctuary states that no longer bow to DC.
DC is powerless without it's ability to inflict pain on it's subjects. As states reject DC and citizens throw their loyalty to their county and state The People will overpower the tyrants and run them out. I pray I am alive to see it, but that is not up to me.
