A former top aide to President Jimmy Carter says the Biden administration is "reminiscent of reliving" the tumultuous years in the former president’s administration.
Les Francis, who served as the White House deputy chief of staff during the Carter administration, said President Biden seems unable to "catch a break" amid the chaotic, crisis-ridden first year of his term.
Francis added that the current socio-political storm swirling around Biden reminds him of living through the craziness of the Carter administration.

The Carter administration’s “national malaise” was good times compared to Joseph Stolen’s.
Yeah. It kinda reminded me of Carter for a while. And then it got worse.
Never heard of him. But Carter used to whine that nothing was his fault and no president could do anything about anything.

The guy makes it sound as if Biden is just sitting at a roulette table. Biden had the opportunity to make his own breaks. And he bungled them all.
And just think— all Biden had to do was nothing, Trump had it all set up for him. If he hadn’t been so full of himself, he could be having an easy peasy time of his life. But hubris does that to a weak person.

Not even close. Carter was incompetent but still a patriot and actually too intelligent to be president.
Biden has always been stupid, never been a patriot, and is now too incompetent to even manage his own affairs. You wouldn’t let a person in his state sign his own will, much less enter into a contract.
As for the nation, we had one nation in 1976. Now we have the tribes living amongst one another.
Things are way worse than the Carter era. Case in point... In Jimmuh’s era, girls wanted to look like Farrah Fawcett and Charlie’s Angels. Now they want to look like Megan Rapinoe.
When you lead, you don't wish you can catch a break. That's leading from behind the curve. You MAKE the curve for others.

Actually the late 70s weren’t that bad. We sang the Pledge in school, had recess, played for hours outside. Blacks and whites relatively got along and the music, television, and sports were outstanding.
I remember the long lines for gas (If there was any), the botched hostage rescue, the turn your thermostats down speech. Billy beer.
Nothing good.
Carter never met a communist he didn’t like.

We had the Soviets invade Afghanistan in December of 1979.”
It looks like both Carter & Biden were ambushed by outside incidents that most Presidents have never had to endure. Not that they were & are incompetent.

Reliving those years, not a good thing. Not at all.
