There are several difficulties with a coup scenario. The Left learned in Spain in the 1930s and Chile in the 1970s that they must control the armed services. As far back as the 1960s, conservatives in the military were denied promotion to flag level. Membership in the Council on Foreign Relations was in the resumes of many generals and admirals. Graduate work in liberal think tanks and universities was an important stepping stone to advancement. Democratic administrations from LBJ to Obama favored politically correct senior officers. Especially under Obama, generals and admirals suspected of conservative positions were forced out.

By 2017, Trump faced a Pentagon as hostile to him as was most of the permanent bureaucracy. He couldn't even get the military to send troops to suppress riots in DC, as Hoover, LBJ, and Nixon did. I don't doubt many NCOs and junior officers are disgusted by Biden and the forced vaccination requirements. However, they will be culled out through resignations and retirement. I don't see an American Franco or Pinochet on the horizon.

Any members of our military who would have supported the US Constitution was purged by Obama..... a long time ago. How the hell do you think we got top brass the caliber of Austin and Milley?
