Might as well order the to operate 1,455,087 hours a day. There aren't enough workers to even fill 4 hours a day.

Maybe dopey Joe can go sit by the ocean and order the tide to not rise.

Wow, Brandon can do that?

The Port of Los Angeles can't find enough dock workers, container carriers, trucks, or rail cars to clear the backlog, but Brandon can just issue an order to begin 24/7 operation and all of those other bottlenecks just disappear?

So where’s he getting the truck drivers?

He's (FJB) not doing anything, other than "announcing" what these businesses have already done.

He’s trying to clean up the mess he’s created.......but little this will do for all the other messes he’s created...they all tie together.

Wow, Brandon can do that?

The only thing he actually did was to "announce" what the companies have already decided they were going to do.

Afghani and Haitian longshoremen, Central American and Mexican truck drivers, Brazilian and Argentine railroad workers (all illegals, of course).

A. What took him so long?
B. Where’s Newsom? Could not the Governor of California do this with his emergency powers?
C. The problem as I understand it is a labor issue - there is none. How does Biden propose to fix this?

Or has California intentionally caused this crisis so the Democrats can “fix” it.

And, again, where’s BUTTGOOD?! Transportation is directly under his control!

Overtime Pay equals $$$$ so yes the unions are probably for it because it means a bunch of extra money for their members...

Besides whatever the goal for unloading containers is, the actual union workers could work slower and spread out their overtime hours for as long as possible....

If you are going to work people in off hours they are going to extract a bunch of extra money and extend it as long as possible, it’s basic human nature....

Yep, even if ships are unloaded, not enough trucks (CA ban on any diesel trucks older than 2011) or drivers (CA AB-5 ban on independent owner operators).

If the real truth was known, I bet a lot of unvaxed workers are still on the job, the union along with a bunch of other places are probably paying lip service to the mandates and ignoring it, letting unvaxxed people continue working...

We’ll see as we go forward if these corporations are suicidal or challenge the government assuming the government actually responds....

Sorry ‘bout that.
I have been pondering (along with Pinkie and the Brain) just how bad the supply chain currently is.
The handling yards are full because truckers can’t move containers out fast enough.
Because the handling yards are full, they can’t unload the ships.
Because they can’t unload the ships they’re floating around generating expenses for the shipping companies.
And because business can’t get their orders, they’re facing financial crisis.
And how many of those containers are for businesses that have gone under?
It’s a good time to look for local sources.
It is also a good time for shippers to look for new locations at which they can offload. Problem is, most ports don’t handle container ships.
