They are not more popular or powerful. The democrats are the party of giving bennies to the ever growing have not population in this country...that is why they are winning.
I have been saying this for 20 years. I have seen the ever growing have nots in my business grow every decade while the makers are getting smaller.
The country will be socialized in a decade to 15 years ..especially when automation kicks in and 1/3 of the people currently employed lose their jobs.
