The head DA turned down the case. Knowing there was no case against Kyle. It was this jerk that was trying to get kyle to say something stupid. Why the defense team put Kyle on the stand makes me question if this whole case was done to get a Kyle to say something that would make a 3 second bleep on the news.

Example: The questioning of hollow point bullets vs full metal jackets. Hollow points wasn't used in this case. The DA was trying to get Kyle to say, "FMJ are less lethal." Or something along those lines.

The defense announced in opening statement Kyle would take the stand. Watching him testify, it seems a good choice to me. I read somewhere else that to ask for a directed verdict the defendant must testify. Have no idea if there is any truth in that. Too lazy to look.
