Daniel Rider was unaware of the melee taking place less than a mile away from his house at the Waukesha Christmas parade. Then chaos came knocking on his door.
Rider, who had just gotten back from hunting and was spread out on the couch watching football, heard a knock. His doorbell camera recorded a man in a red T-shirt shivering and begging to come inside around 5 p.m.
"I called an Uber , and I'm supposed to be waiting for it over here, but I don't know when it's coming," the mysterious man can be heard saying. "Can you call it for me please? I'm homeless."
Rider's Midwestern hospitality kicked in. He invited the man into his home, gave him a jacket, made him a sandwich, and let him use his phone.
"All of a sudden, I look outside my street and I saw a few cop cars drive by and I'm getting extra nervous," he told NBC News , who obtained the doorbell cam footage.

No way I would let someone in that has a tear drop tattoo. That’s a prison tat.
Yep, my ol' Granny told me about some of the hobos.
She said one out of a hundred was a worthless human being, but the other 99 were simply men with no anchor, no jobs, nowhere to go.
She told me about placing a basket of goodies (needle and thread, occasionally a small pocket knife, small jars of honey, apples, etc) on a small platform next to her mail box, with a note to take what was needed.
Out of the many, many times she did so, only once was the entire basket taken, never to be seen again.
She would find notes of thanks written on the paper and with the pencil she left in the basket, along with a few stamps, envelopes and penny post cards.
As far as she knew, nearly every week the post man would pick up an outgoing letter or a penny post card.
Regarding the small pocket knife she would sometimes place in the basket, she once found a small carved figurine of Christ on the cross, carved on the end of a broom handle.
It had an inscription carved on it: "Danke schoen", and in English: "May God Bless you".
I still have it.
Apparently there were many immigrants wandering the roads back in those days, too.
She also found many chalk marks around her home and property, which she was told was Hobo language, telling others that she was a good person and to not disturb her or bother her.
I cannot imagine the times nor the mindsets of these men and women that lived through them.
Are you actually talking about that pink elephant in the room? I’d also like to know why hardly anyone wants to admit they see it.
“Why are there so many “career criminals” in the “black community?”
Because over 70% are without fathers in their families and the average IQ is 85. They grow up without discipline and are hard to educate. Crime pays.
People from this stripe in the glorious rainbow are fantastic storytellers when begging or looking to hurt or kill you.
They will string together a chain of jargon words which make sense in small chunks but, when assembled into the typical run-on sentence make no sense at all.
This poor Wisconsin man needs a twelve week internship in Brooklyn, and he will never make this mistake again.
Just heard that a child just died why isn’t this POS being charged with terrorism
DA said a couple more injured are critical.
Can I say it; we’ve become a post-Christian society, in essence? I’m embarrassed to say given my natural tendency to do as you said, help others who are in need. Determining in a split second those who genuinely are in need and those who feign it in order to commit an evil act (to deceive or lie)is one of life’s test, both of faith and survival. Nothing worth doing is easy.
Read yesterday about this sweet baby girl, her name is Jessalyn, age 11..she lost her kidney, has a punctured lung, broken pelvis, and lacerated kidney..saw her sweet face in a twitter post..I hope she is not the sweet angel who died..any child who died in this terrorist attack is horrible just seeing that girl’s face yesterday felt drawn to her
His name was Jackson Sparks..8 yrs old..declared brain dead today

Interesting story.
Brooks is also a convicted sex offender in Washoe Cunty, Nevada-—Reno.
I thought the ‘pink elephant’ was what you see when you’re sloshed out of your mind. And the ‘elephant in the room’ is what you notice clear-eyed, and which others ignore - out of either politeness or expedience.
Let’s keep our allusions straight :-)
Sometime the local city council or some other social community activist organization will fund a Uber ride for some worthy homeless or undocumented person.
Took a few of them myself when I was Ubering.
Destination varies....Hotel a grade above Motel6....Greyhound Bus Station...or the favorite:
Narcotic drug dispensary.
Lol. The elephant has always been pink in my mind. Wonder what Freud (Fraud) would say about it.
I don’t know much about ‘Fraud’. I’m a Jung fan.

stupid guilt ridden white folk
Here’s the biggest reason: black women on welfare.
Pre welfare, women wanted a stable guy with a decent job to marry. A guy who wanted female companionship needed to meet expectations. It was an incentive to get educated and get a job with a future. Men will do what they need to do to get laid.
Now, underclass black women do not want husbands who would bring in less money than their benefits. So they go for the gang thugs, because they’re more exciting than guys who work at fast food places. So the incentive now is to be a gang thug, so the women will see you as “exciting”.
