No news at link, just heard this on WJNO. Variant called Omicron, not Nu. I guess another variant snuck in in the meantime?

It would be very confusing to have a variant with a confusing name. And really, aren’t all these variants just versions of the flu? We should be well past the Greek alphabet by now.

It's just a small thing.
The scientific and engineering symbol for a micron is the Greek letter mu, μ. Why bother changing from "mu" to "micron"? That's just stupid.
