"The team has plans to open 18 restaurants in cities like Boston, Miami and Chicago
Add celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay to the list of people and businesses trading California for Texas.
Ramsay has relocated his North American restaurant headquarters to Las Colinas, Texas, from the West Coast, according to a report. ..."

I used to think this guy was a jerk. Then I actually watched his show ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ (UK version then inferior USA version). The guy curses like a sailor but genuinely cares about people and food. Zero surprise he is doing this.
He has a show where he takes a failing restaurant and turns it into something good
It was really something to watch
I started to think that the swearing cursing like a sailor TV show was just an act, because he seems like a real sweetheart on this show. And really did some phenomenal work turning these restaurants around
Not my cup of tea, but for those who like his style, Gordon is very entertaining. His restaurant empire continues to grow. I think such growth would be harder to do in Britain, where the taxes are higher. For those who want to learn, Gordon is showing his children how to grow a business.
I gave up on Hells Kitchen many years ago. It became obvious that they put the contestants up to acting like over the top jerks. I really do like Master Chef though.
I was in Las Vegas last weekend and thought of eating at Hells Kitchen restaurant. However about $150 a head for the prix fixe menu was to rich for me.
Agreed and he had to deal with a lot of people who had personality disorders.
You can't fix stupid, I guess.
Also learned that all those people who wanted to live in tiny houses end up giving them up in one to two years because living in them just isn't practical.
Me too. Hellโs Kitchen just got to formalic which turned boring. I love master chief and even more master chief kids.
That “Idiot Sandwich” clip was a skit with a CBS news anchor. I really thought it was part of the show.
Enjoy Hell’s Kitchen, but it very much the same each time. Master Chef and MC Jr is fun to watch. Those kids know more than I do.
Oooh, la tee da. Las Colinas is a planned community with a hat tilt to Fortune 500s. Can’t wait to see the menu prices.
Sam the cooking guy is my favorite.
I can understand his attitude on Hell's Kitchen: he's a Michelin-starred chef several times over, and he's "interviewing" professional chefs to run one of his restaurants. They have to be able to produce dishes that will be served at his restaurants, AND show that they can handle to pressure involved with successfully running the restaurant as a business.
If you're on FB, follow his feed. He has videos of cooking from home, and his passion REALLY comes out, without the colorful language. I recommend the videos for his steak sandwich and his Beef Wellington, for starters. He also has cooking basics videos, where I learned I didn't know how to cook rice correctly.
Essentially Dallas. Not Texas :-)
“I used to think this guy was a jerk”
I think a lot of the drama is just to make the show interesting.....same with the bar rescue guy....which is why I can’t watch either one.

Same. In the past couple of weeks I’ve viewed one of his videos on basic cooking tips on Youtube. Lot of good stuff on there, and as a bonus I don’t think I’ve heard him open his mouth about anything political. Just food.
I watch almost all of Ramsay’s show I don’t like the ones with the kids. Not a fan of shows with cute kids with hats and ribbons in their hair.
Ramsey has like 7 Michelin stars. I’d like to see a throw down between him and Bobby Flay. I think Ramsey is a better cook, but Flay has far more experience in cooking competition.
Perhaps Subway should have him try and fix their stores. First thing would be to fire any left wing nutcase who might spit in customers sandwiches. Then teach them the difference in real cheese and fake cheese.
None more deserving of a closure (from what was shown) than Amy’s Baking.
More good Texas food, papa deauxs, papa sitos...awww awww
