In the same way that deer are "incurious" about the cause of the forest fire they are fleeing. The left has its narrative about January 6th and desperately does not want any contrary narrative to get an honest hearing. As they increasingly do with any controversial subject, they will simply assert that the claim of federal involvement is a "right-wing conspiracy theory" that has been "debunked."
