EXACTLY! Not JUST South Africa, but almost, if not, EVERYWHERE ELSE in the world!
BUT, we Americans are DIFFERENT. Especially those in NYC.

DON’T GO TO THE HOSPITAL.
If you have COVID, they will kill you.
If you don’t have COVID, you will probably get it from just being there and then when you come back for treatment, they will kill you. /s (sort of)
