Protesters gathered in Fayetteville in North Carolina for a second night on Monday after a black man was shot dead by an off-duty cop, who claims he acted in self-defense to protect his wife and daugter.

Jason Walker, 37, was killed just after 2.15pm on Saturday outside his home on Bingham Drive.

The deputy involved in the shooting, identified as Lieutenant Jeffrey Hash, was taken into custody, but not arrested, and put on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Let’s wait and see how this shakes out. Some are saying the dead man was struck by the truck to set the whole thing off. We really don’t know for sure, as of now.

However, one alleged eye-witness spoke out in the press and claimed that Walker was simply crossing the road when Hash struck him with his truck and shot him. 

 

Hash said he stopped the truck. 

So who's lying? The coroner should be able to identify if the body had been struck or not.

I think some shuffling went on here. It happens. Entitled classes have the right to mosey out in front of you. You better stop and not show attitude. Or else. I think Hash violated that rule and showed some attitude.

Some Questions awaiting “journalism”:
If Hash’s truck hit Walker to start the whole incident, why didn’t the air bags deploy?

Did the nurse who tried to help Walker actually witness the entire incident with her own eyes? (Her medical aid was a noble move regardless of anything else with this situation)

Toxicology, other info on whether Walker was high = ?

Walker’s legal history, especially with violence, drugs/drinking, interactions with Law Enforcement = ? Employment history?

Hash’s history, especially with shooting incidents, complaints, etc. = ? Evidence of racial animus, hotheadedness?
