The Soros Dozen: Big City Prosecutors Backed by George Soros
breitbart ^ | 20 Jan 2022 | JOEL B. POLLAK

Left-wing billionaire and Democrat donor George Soros has turned his attention in recent years to local races for prosecutor, using his money to elect “progressives” who push “criminal justice reform” and support the Black Lives Matter movement.

The rise of these Soros-backed prosecutors has coincided with a massive surge in murder and crime in many Democrat-run cities, including many where these prosecutors have implemented radical policies toward policing and incarceration.

Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón has faced criticism for his radical reforms in the year since he took office, while murders soared. “The city last year experienced 397 murders, up 11.8 percent from the 355 the previous year, and a 53.9 percent increase from the 258 the pre-pandemic year of 2019,” LA magazine noted.

These included the shooting death of Jacqueline Avant, a black philanthropist and the wife of legendary music producer Clarence Avant, killed during a robbery in her home.

More recently Brianna Kupfer was stabbed to death in broad daylight in the furniture store where she worked. Her alleged killer was out on bail for a 2020 arrest in Los Angeles and a 2019 arrest in South Carolina. Her father blamed politicians who had let criminals roam free — a growing sentiment in cities where Soros-backed prosecutors rule.

Soros-backed prosecutors include:

Supported by Soros through spending by political action committees (PACs) and super PACs:

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón – Elected in 2020, he ousted incumbent D.A. Jackie Lacey, the first black woman to hold the job, and has prided himself on reducing prison sentences, even as violent crime has soared in L.A.

"What I don’t get is what’s in it for Soros?"

The real reason is not to let criminals go but to prosecute their political enemies. To use the law and the power of the state as a weapon.

Look at the lawyer couple in St. Louis that defended their home with a rifle. Text book case of self defense and legal use of a firearm but the commie DA prosecuted them anyway.

The people have a trump card for corrupt prosecutors.

The reality is all prosecutors must successfully prosecute in order to stay in office. Corrupt leftist prosecutors are letting real criminals run free and using the power of their office to prosecute their political enemies.

There is however an inherent weakness in this corrupt system and that is the jury. All cases brought by these criminal DAs could be forced to a jury trial. It only takes ONE juror to derail the case. If the people decide they've had enough it would be pretty easy for them to decide that no prosecution by a corrupt DA will ever be successful. This would effectively nullify the DA and any case they bring.

Well, at least here in Texas, these DA’s have the power to not prosecute election fraud.

“Well, at least here in Texas, these DA’s have the power to not prosecute election fraud.”

Texas courts just ruled the General Attorney can’t prosecute election fraud. Get on your State Rep to change the law.

Phoenix District Attorney Paul Penzone

That’s incorrect. Penzone is Maricopa county sheriff.

In last election, Soros ran a democratic DA here, but narrowly lost.

Remember when "Halliburton" was the leftist answer to every "why" question in the WOT?

"Soros" is now the standard reply in certain circles to every concerned American's "why" question?

"What I don’t get is what’s in it for Soros?"

I have a crazy theory that he wants to drive commercial real estate values down, then have his DAs start enforcing the law, and watch the value of his properties spring back up.

No problem. Sadly, some districts are so far down the toilet that they don’t need Soros’ help to elect leftist creeps. I think SF is the poster child for those places.

I am fed up with this sad, sick, depraved, evil, no good, two timing, criminal con artist excuse for a Homo sapiens. The sooner someone seizes the assets of Soros the better our great nation will be. Since he wants communism so bad, he can be one of the first volunteers. It makes me angry that this bozo has people defending him.
