Not sure it really mattered if he ran. He was running third, so it would just force a runoff. I suspect most of the PO Trump voters that would vote in the runoff are going to vote for Perdue.

He did the right thing. The media is going to frame it any way to deflect from the fact Kemp is one of the couple of spiders at the center of the foul web that enabled 2020.

can’t stand purdue, but Jones proves again he’s a trustworthy soldier for conservatives.

hopefully he can do some good elsewhere. i don’t think my support for him was completely wasted.

What’s the deal with Trump and Perdue? Seems swampy to me.

Unless I am mistaken, President Trump said days ago that he suggested Vernon drop from the governor’s race and run for congress...which I think he is going to do.

RINOS are better in the statehouse than the senate. Goes without saying.

Not really. Jones is a racist and wolf in Conservative clothing. Says the right things, but his history proves otherwise.

It would appear that many of you don’t know much about him. He has a ton of skeletons in many closets.

Is he a good guy, reformer man and legit Conservative. He might be. And the way he ha does the press that one day I’m inclined to believe that he is a good guy. He absolutely spanked them.

If it weren’t for Jones running for Lt Gov, I wish Jones would have run for that. Give him a chance to shed some of the baggage. Hopefully he can stick around for a while. Compared to his counterparts he seems very pragmatic.

I remember reading that during the events of 06Jan, he actually was talking to some of the folks that had gone into the Capitol.

The media can frame it anyway they want. We, here in Georgia, know what he did. And I’m not that big a fan of Perdue but there’s no way Kemp is getting my vote. Primary or General election.

I’m with you. Jones was getting my vote until Perdue entered.

Not a fan of Perdue either, but if Pres Trump goes back to DC, Perdue will owe him in a big way.

Unfortunately, many of the Trump team’s (America First Policy Institute- ie Brook Rollins/ Javanka) endorsements are highly suspect. This will be another one- where Trump endorses a Johnny-come lately Democrat with character issues (lifelong Rat- sexual assault and anti-white racism allegations- though he seemed to be supportive in the 2020 election) against a solid and dynamic America First candidate, in this case Patrick Witt. Similar to the Morgan Ortagus (Jeb Bush/ Biden supporter but an Ivanka friend)endorsement versus Robby Starbuck, or the equally suspect David McCormick race in PA Senate (he is the hedge fund husband of Ivanka friend and establishment Godlman Sachs ally Dina Habib Powell- she had a different husband when she was in the administration). Unfortunately, the Georgia 10th candidacy of Mr Witt (a Trump admin lawyer and official) seems to be collateral damage of President Trump’s deserved animus towards Governor Kemp. However, is David Perdue any better than Governor Kemp? We all saw his tepid milquetoast struggle for his senate seat in the runoffs and his dismissive attitude towards election fraud. He might be better than Kemp but he is not the kind of leader to reverse America’s decline, nor is he the type to justify sidelining younger and more assertive leadership like Patrick Witt to satisfy the ego of Vernon Jones.

IIRC, Trump cut a deal with Perdue. Perdue filed a lawsuit about the 2020 election. Perdue has standing as he was affected by the problems with how the GA election was handled. Trump endorsed Perdue in return.
