Warning: This story quotes several racist slurs allegedly directed at Black workers at Tesla’s California plant, according to a lawsuit filed against the company.
The N-word and other racist slurs were hurled daily at Black workers at Tesla’s California plant, delivered not just by fellow employees but also by managers and supervisors.
So says California’s civil rights agency in a lawsuit filed against the electric-vehicle maker in Alameda County Superior Court on Thursday on behalf of thousands of Black workers after a decade of complaints and a 32-month investigation.
Tesla segregated Black workers into separate areas that its employees referred to as “porch monkey stations,” “the dark side,” “the slave ship” and “the plantation,” the lawsuit alleges.
Only Black workers had to scrub floors on their hands and knees, and they were relegated to the Fremont, Calif., factory’s most difficult physical jobs, the suit states.
Graffiti — including “KKK,” “Go back to Africa,” the hangman’s noose, the Confederate Flag and “F-- [N-word]” — were carved into restroom walls, workplace benches and lunch tables and were slow to be erased, the lawsuit says.
Tesla responded to the lawsuit, filed by the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, with a blog post saying that the agency had investigated almost 50 discrimination complaints in the past without finding misconduct — an assertion the agency denied.

There's no way I'm buying the allegations in this story.
None of it is true. The left has wanted to get rid of him for a long time. He is rich and doesn’t give money to leftist causes.
If they want you, they’ll get you. The left has weaponized accusations of racism. You cannot prove it never happened. Accusations alone get you canceled.

I almost hate thinking this is a well thought out campaign to silence Elon Musk. The alleged acts are just way too over the top and the timing of the complains is sure convenient. For one thing I am having a real hard time with the accusation about floor scrubbing. Tesla doesn’t have a janitorial staff or outside contractor? This is just not passing the smell test.
With ubiquitous, video-recording-capable, cell phones it is downright miraculous that big foot, flying saucers, and systemic racism never seem to get documented with hard evidence.

I used to work with a white guy who was born in Tunisia. His parents were USCITS. If I remember his story right, they were diplomats. He enjoyed demonstrating the hypocrisy of affirmative action, he’d fill out forms affirming he was an African American. Then when visually that didn’t look right (He was blond!) and he would be challenged, he’d play innocent and whip out documentation showing his place of birth. There would be a lot of “hrumphing” & liberal teeth gnashing but because he had irrefutable documentation he never got into trouble. He never got any ‘special consideration’, but he said exposing their hypocrisy was enough reward in itself.
Not a trivial thing to pack up a huge business and move to another state. Hopefully, he has gained back the costs and achieved his ROI threshold.
Good for him. I’ll bet that it was satisfying to rub their faces in it.
