The Alabama House committee is where Constitutional Carry bills have been killed in the past. About 13 of adults in Alabama have a Concealed Carry permit.
I give Constitutional Carry about a 50% chance of becoming law in Alabama this year.

The biggest cheerleaders for a Concealed Carry Permit in Alabama are the County Sheriffs.
Since they issue the permits and get to keep the money therefrom, it is a sizable resource for the Sheriff to have at his disposal, without accountability.
They will never agree to Constitutional Carry.
It will never get to the Governor's desk.

I wish they would hurry up. My permit expires next month. If I renew online I have to pay $20. Since I’m retired military if I go to the permit office it would be free. I have to admit, if permits are required (which of course they shouldn’t be) you really can’t get much better than Alabama in ease of getting one.
