'This is a massive crime against humanity': Trump says we 'can't let' the situation in Ukraine continue and slams 'paper tiger' NATO for its inaction

Former President Donald Trump slammed his former comrade Vladimir Putin for the growing death toll in Ukraine - calling it a 'massive crime against humanity' - and blasted NATO for its lack of action during a GOP donor event Saturday.

Trump spoke to Republican National Committee donors in Louisiana during the Spring Retreat in New Orleans, where he covered a wide variety of topics, including the escalating crisis in Ukraine.

Trump also went after NATO, calling it a 'paper tiger' and said the US cannot just stand by while Ukraine is invaded, according to Washington Post reporter Josh Dawsey, who obtained a recording of Trump's remarks.

Trump's comments come as Putin's forces have besieged Ukraine and sparked fears that NATO would be drawn into the fighting. Ukraine President Ukrainian President Volodymy Zelenzky has repeatedly begged NATO to enforce a no-fly zone over his country to help thwart Russian air superiority.

However, the US and its allies have resisted, fearing it could put NATO forces in direct conflict with Russia.

During his presidency, Trump had reportedly said multiple times that he wanted to pull the United States out of NATO, a move that aides scrambled to counter.

Speaking of the situation in Ukraine, Trump told donors that the US should put Chinese flags on America's F-22s and then 'bomb the s***' out of Russia, leading to conflict between the nations while 'we sit back and watch.'

He also shared his thoughts on North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un, saying that 'he's absolutely the leader of that country,' and expressed he was impressed at how Jong Un's advisers were 'sitting at attention' when he talked and 'cowered' when he spoke to them.

Trump said one general stood up so fast when spoken to and joked:' 'I want my people to act like

Nope, just don’t give a crap about other countries’ wars.

If you do, head on over and fight.

"The way the are acting, I would not be surprised if most of them were useless. Rusted through. Shorted fuses,..."

Russia has always been quantity over quality. They will just send three missiles to get one target. You lack imagination by thinking that a country with its back to the wall will never use its nuclear weapons which is false

No, I said this is just a Slavic Civil War and we don’t need to take sides.

Let the Eurotrash handle it if they can. I remember how smug and snotty that they were when President Trump told them to arm up and meet their NATO requirements.

Does Europe have any men in it or what

A good question.

When will Europe's men step up and defend their own and stop expecting America to do it for them?

If someone comes from me and mine then my gun comes out. However if my nutty neighbors who are armed the teeth have a domestic dispute then I’ll keep watching TV.

[”How does any rational or caring human being watch us lose a 20-year war against cave-dwelling barbarians, and not just lose that war, but lose it in the most humiliating fashion imaginable, and less than a year later already have a war-boner for Ukraine?” — John Nolte, 3/5/2022]

I appreciate your and John Nolte’s views on most things, but this is not one of them. We lost in Afghanistan because, as Trump noted, we were unable as a matter of law and custom, to exterminate the Taliban and its civilian supporters. Conversely, the Taliban won because it is better organized and more competent than the government we backed *and* it can exterminate its civilian opponents.

A no-fly zone in Ukraine is pure force-on-force. People flying Russian military helicopters and airplanes cannot reasonably be called civilians. In force-on-force encounters, we can clean Russian clocks. Heck, by simply surviving despite a ramshackle inventory and nugatory budgets, the Ukrainian Air Force has shown the essential unreadiness of the Russian Air Force, which has 10x the aircraft.

I will vehemently oppose ANY politician who advocates getting the U.S. involved in a land war in Russia. And that includes Donald Trump.

Never, if we keep doing it. And, so many of them hate us, oh, they hate us.
I’ve seen the comments for years and to the present day.

They bched and complained for decades about our interfering in other countries’ problems, and now that it involves them, we’re so supposed to sacrifice our posterity.

Meanwhile, Democrats talk out of both sides of their mouths.

Falsely accuse Trump of being a Putin crony while they are the ones who continue to take oil from Russia this whole time.

Dominique Samuels
@DominiqueTaegon

As predicted, the narrative is now: ‘higher food and gas prices to fight Putin’.

Sounds a lot like: ‘destroy your livelihoods, education and health to fight covid.’

Same story different script.

It still isn’t clear what their true goal is, in going after Ukraine or even further. Only when there is a better handle on
the target and what they are capable of on the ground the solution will fall into place. What I don’t understand is Biden believing this is going to redefine his presidency — presumably for the better. The only thing most Americans have gotten so far is that gas prices have nearly doubled.

I guess the Putin lovers will have to find another candidate to back. Maybe they can draft Tucker Carlson.

Dumb analogy. This is not a domestic dispute. It’s one neighbor killing the neighbor next door.

They’ve been doing it for, five years, and and it’s never going to stop. They will be going after his kids, and grandkids unless Divine Intervention intervenes.

To be honest, I think divine intervention has intervened with the talk of assassination openly of the entire family, and the pure, hatred, and bile coming out of the left.

That’s because lurking in the background is a police force. Imagine no cops and a world in which someone comes to you and tells you have to pay him some percentage of your income or bad things will happen to you. In other words, the typical Mexican narco-region - pure anarchy in which you get stronger by forcibly acquiring territory or setting up alliances or being forcibly acquired by the cartel. That’s the world of international relations. Russia is just the Los Zetas Cartel spreading its wings, by forcibly adding territory. We are in the alliance business. We resist forcible cartel additions to prevent the cartel from getting so strong as to overwhelm our alliances. Because there are no cops.

The “war” part of the Iraq War was quick and easy.

It was the following occupation part that was a hard mess.
