Vice President Kamala Harris’ trip to Warsaw to thank Poland for taking in hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s invasion took an unexpected turn before she even left Washington. She’ll be parachuting into the middle of unexpected diplomatic turbulence over fighter jets.
The Polish government on Tuesday came out with a plan to transfer its Russian-made fighter planes to a U.S. military base in Germany, with the expectation that the planes would then be handed over to Ukrainian pilots trying to fend off Russian forces. In turn, the U.S. would supply Poland with U.S.-made jets with “corresponding capabilities.”
But the Poles didn’t run that idea past the Biden administration before going public with it, and the Pentagon quickly dismissed the idea as not tenable.

Kamala Proves the Peter Principle
Most of my life, I assumed that we elected serious politicians and appointed competent people to deal with the country’s complex problems — the Cold War, the Vietnam War, the Civil Rights Movement, the economy, immigration, terrorism, foreign policy, natural disasters, etc. — major problems that required competent people, serious about addressing (and fixing) the issues.
That was then, this is now. America is no longer a serious country, and the West is not a serious culture. Proof of how far we’ve fallen — boys claim they’re girls, girls claim they’re boys and we must accept the new biology or be cancelled; racism is openly taught in public schools under the lie called Critical Race Theory (thank you, teachers unions); schoolchildren are taught to hate the country’s very founding claiming more racism; the military is focused on white rage (not defeating our enemies); and we installed an imbecile (as president) who mumbles the words his handlers put on the teleprompter. Vice President (VP) Kamala Harris is further proof that, as a nation, we’re unserious.
Watching Kamala, Biden, Tony Blinken, Pete Buttigieg, etc. it’s obvious that the Peter Principle is at work.

AP trying to cover Biden/Blinken’s A**. Left out the part where Blinken said he gave the green light for the jets to depart Poland for Ukraine no-fly zone missions. OOOOPS, now that this rotten idea has landed in Biden/Blinken’s lap, the idea is “problematical.”’

This jet thing was bungled badly. They should have just secretly turned the jets over to Ukraine without talking about it publicly.

They want Poland bombed out over this as well. I guess Putin is not going to be as restrained compared to Ukraine there.
What difference does it make? Ukraine lost 100+ on the ground and then up to a dozen every day until they ran out of planes without inflicting any damage. The entire Polish fleet would be enough for four days.
How to make the situation in the Ukraine even worse.
They could not have done a better job.

These are not miniature matchbox jets you can smuggle in your pocket. How exactly do you “secretly turn the jets over to Ukraine?”
This was a hare-brained scheme from jump. Russia would rightly see that NATO-owned jets were being sent from a NATO country (Poland or Germany does not matter) and would consider it an act of war by NATO.
