> What kind of sh**hole country leaves dead bodies in the street for weeks? <
If those satellite images are legit (and they probably are), I’m thinking some local Russian commander lost his cool when a Ukrainian irregular killed one of his men. And so the town had to be taught a lesson.
It’s a very nazi thing to do. And as the original nazis found out, such moves usually makes things worse for the murdering side. Civilians who just want to be left alone see their relatives executed. And then the next thing you know, those civilians are behind trees, sniping away at the occupiers.
That or they are rounding up people they suspect of being neo-nazi’s and slaughtering them in the streets...
That was my initial reaction, tempered by the transition time, so it might have been done by either side.
If there is good evidence the bodies were there before the Russians retreated, it tends to put it in their camp.
As others have said, war is not pretty. Every army has things which happen, and which do not follow the rules, exactly.
The Allies did some nasty stuff during WWII, as well.
Yes, the Russians have a bad reputation for this sort of thing, as did the NAZIs. The NAZIs were more methodical, supposedly, and kept better records.
I believe absolutely nothing coming from either side in that conflict.
What I do know is that the reason the US is evidently compelled to be involved is to preserve the catamite breeding camp on the Black Sea and the Big Guy’s 10%.
