Children under 8yo do not have the mental capacity to understand gender identity. Stop the madness.

When I was about this age, I self-identified as a grizzly bear because I thought it would be cool to sleep whenever I wanted, eat whatever I wanted and growl if I didn’t get my way. But there was no mandatory state coursework to affirm my identity, so I grew up.
Exactly right! Those concepts are too abstract for children that young to comprehend.
It strikes me that they are the ones who stereotype. What does feel like a girl or feel like a boy even mean at that age? If you’re a boy and like making cookies with your mom, oh you must be a girl inside! If you’re a girl and would rather go fishing with your dad, you must be a boy inside! Just let kids be who they are and do what they enjoy.
The boy who likes making cookies might grow up to have his own bakery. The girl might have her own sporting goods store. Or they might just grow into normal adults who like to bake or to fish.
