On Monday, Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle in Florida threw out the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s mask mandate for air travel and other forms of mass transportation. Deaths from COVID-19—and the mask mandates intended to prevent them—may be on the wane nationwide, but whatever you think about such policies, this is the latest and most egregious example of a judge acting as a partisan warrior in the COVID-19 culture wars......
Let CDC make the call based on science. And don’t handcuff public health agencies during this pandemic—and for future health emergencies that are almost certain to come.

Yep. Most people have lost trust in the CDC and the Gov “science.” It was masks for just 100 days, then well, just 30 more days to study the new variant, etc. and never ending extensions even as cases were at the lowest point seen during the scamdemoic they demanded more masks, etc.
Don’t forget the complete disregard for proper wearing and use. All the idiots take off the filthy mask, touch it with their hands, leave it on the table as they eat, put it back on, etc.

I determined after a very short study in Spring of 2020, two years ago, that the CDC was a political operation, and that any public health that went on under their auspices was entirely vestigial/coincidental. I posted about it here. Nothing that has happened in the intervening two years has made me reconsider that assessment.

It’s been up for months now.

Color me not surprised though. Alger Hiss was just the tip of the spear. Many more lurked in the shadows. McCarthy was right, and nobody would listen. I actually had his granddaughter as my history teacher. Had she not told us that, I would have never made the connection. Sad thing was, I didn't know who her grandfather even really was, until many years later. Obviously history, at that time, was not a subject I cared too much about. I was more into biology, and couldn't get enough study time on that subject, if you know what I mean. 😋

I have a co-worker whose face I haven’t seen since March 2020. They were wearing N95s as soon as they could find them. Now that probably 95% of the people aren’t wearing masks in may area, they have added a blue surgical mask over the N95.
Even when we had less than a 1% positivity rate in summer 2021, they still double masked. If the topic came up it it was always just a it to soon, gotta wait to see if they cases decrease more, etc.
The “little while longer” is, IMHO, anywhere from 1.5-2 years for many of these people, assuming say less ~12 cases a month. In realty it is likely another 4-5 or so years they will mask up.
Amtrak dropped the mandate system wide, but CTrail, which runs trains from Springfield to New Haven, just like Amtrak, kept the mandate. Such a smart virus, you are safe on Amtrak but it wilk strike you down on a different train on the same tracks.
Meanwhile in CT, still gotta wear a mask on a CTTransit bus or CTRail train between Springfield Ma and New Haven, but if you take a Amtrak train between said cities, no mask required. Science!!!!
I almost pity someone whose life is so dominated by fear, that they live like that, in that kind of self-imposed bondage.
