I think secession in the U.S. or gold as currency as earthquakes.
Secession of ascendant America from decadent America would certainly be a blessing, but not at the cost of a civil war like the last one.
Decadent America could self-destruct to the extent that peaceful secession could become possible.
However it is also possible that the corrupt leaders of decadent America, already serving as a fifth column, could submit the USA to a takeover by an extremely powerful foreign nation, de facto or even de jure, rendering peaceful secession of ascendant America virtually impossible. They will do it if they can.
Our best bet is to keep ascendant America strong--economically, politically, militarily, intellectually, and especially spiritually--and watch vigilantly for the time when decadent America weakens itself sufficiently. Then we will know what to do.
