Multiple woke academics now claim the word 'obesity' is racist and should be dropped in favor of 'people with larger bodies.'
The University of Illinois Chicago's school of public health published a health brief titled: 'Addressing weight stigma and fatphobia in public health' that explored 'the association between racism, weight, and health.'
According to Amanda Montgomery RD, public health's focus on preventing obesity has brought in an increase of negative attitudes towards 'people with larger bodies' - her preferred alternative term - and is currently one of the only socially acceptable forms of discrimination.
The brief claims that public health approaches related to obesity can be harmful because of the focus on one outcome - weight loss- and because it tends to ignore the root cause of the issue.

Maybe the word obesity is racist. I see lots more obese black women than white women. Where I live there are plenty of non-Mexican Hispanics and they are always slim. They are more concerned with looking good and healthy than the local whites and blacks and no freakin’ tattoos!

Same. The thought of an obese Thai lady used to be incomprehensible. I know my wife panics if her weight gets over 60kg/132 lbs...she tries to keep it around 53-54kg/117-119 lbs.
Obesity is still very rare (but as Western food becomes more available, it's, sadly, going up, particularly in the big cities)
Use fatass instead.

So, when will they also ban in shape and shapely and fit and short and ugly and handsome and beautiful and black and white and tan and... well, any other word that describes a human that looks different from other humans. He and she and her and him, are already ‘gone’.
Next, we’re going to be banning smart and stupid and articulate and genius and professor and teacher and student, since, they all convey a sense of superiority or inferiority, and as we all know by now, that’s racist or biased.
We’re going to be running out of words and we won’t have a way to communicate.
