UPDATE! We are not out of the storm yet.
John and I had to take dad back to the VA today because we were afraid he was showing stroke symptoms last night and this morning. Immediately they discovered that his blood sugar was too low (67) and that he was experiencing hypoglycemia. They haven't updated me any further today, but unfortunately they will have him again until Tuesday, and then release him into a "short-term rehab facility" before releasing him home. GEESH!!

I know these setbacks are spirit dampening, but we will continue to pray for his complete recovery and swift return home.

one of my 1st shoots with people across the country, a fellow from Indiana came.
we did not know he was diabetic and he was slipping away at 6:30 am, we thought he was drunk.
this was in a remote part of tx.
luckily someone knew and gave him glucose, we then got him to hospital

Low sugar is not good, but nowhere as bad as you feared. Thank goodness! If he needs a glucose monitor, so be it. It chirps in time to have some juice - or a small ice cream treat.
